Frank has been announced for some Swiss fest on the Saturday while nobody was paying attention, just seen, gutted

I'd love to see Franz Ferdinand fill that gap in the tent but they're too similar to The Killers

Franz would be less similar to The Killers than a Chase and Status DJ set would be similar to an Axwell and Ingrosso DJ set, which some seem to be believing V may clash

(though you wouldn't put it past them, it'd be utterly ridiculous)

good point well made...hopefully V have got somebody with some sense in since last year's Calvin Harris DJ Set vs Basement Jaxx dance/DJ Set debacle, not confident though.

Sub Focus -> C&S -> A&I is such an obvious run of acts that it'd just be typical of V Fest to look straight past the possibility. It's almost too obvious. Tinie Tempah is a bit similar to them as well although not similar enough to rule him out of a clash you'd say.

Sub Focus -> C&S -> A&I is such an obvious run of acts that it'd just be typical of V Fest to look straight past the possibility. It's almost too obvious. Tinie Tempah is a bit similar to them as well although not similar enough to rule him out of a clash you'd say.

I dont think V would want a straight run like that, they seem to like to change genre up where they can. I dont think they would want all 3 bigger dance acts in a row. Maybe Sub Focus sub arena with C&S then Tinie Tempah then A&I. If chase and status were booked for the other day then things would seem a bit more straight forward I think

I agree with you zac ffs! I am gutted he is not going to be their typical. Now I just hope that C and S (dj), sub focus or above and beyond are not headling the arena, as I think that will be predictable and to me poor. I hope they go with somebody/something different take a bit of a risk

I think V will go with Alesso headlining Arena, so Above and Beyond wouldnt headline. As for the other day, I think its between Tinie, C&S or someone new to headline the Arena. Last year V announced an arena headliner with the stage splits so maybe they would do that this time too

Yes a Paloma dj would be funny it probably play some jazz and 40/50s dance music people will have to dance the mash potatoe, lidyhop and the twist. But I do like her

Reading have the former lead singer of the recently split My Chemical Romance, who headlined Reading a few years ago doing his very first solo performance low down on the second stage, it's pretty big for a fourth announcement

Except Brandon Flowers does do solo sets whilst Gerard Ways is his first ever at Reading, and Brandon Flowers is at V every other year in some shape or form..

Brandon Flowers has already had a solo album & tour so it's not really on par with a Gerard Way global exclusive.

Not that I'd watch him.

What is worry me about this year line up the most is a lack of so called natural other stage headliners who have the amount of songs for a long set list and of course can produce great line music. I would say only elbow and chic can do that this year, but have said that their are great artists on the line up who can grace the main stage during the afternoon/early evening.

well elbow and Axwell & Ingrosso will headline the other main stage. Any of Ed, lily, Paolo and example would also have enough to headline second stage I think, even though I wouldn't watch the middle 2

Hopefully soon. I think last year it was before now, because NME have an article from 31st of may talking about the splits and new additions, so it was earlier last year so should be soon
