Yeah but these threads go off topic all the time. What I was saying is I wouldnt see them even if they were this year, as I probably wont be getting a ticket next year unless there are acts more to my taste

Well everyone knows my views on kasabian but it would be a good step in the right direction, getting them guitars out again rather than booty...

I actually think mumfords are good live and on record, but hey I think bjorks amazing.

I don't have a problem with how Mumford are in that respect, I just bloody hate their music, and Marcus Mumford's face.

I think if they don't go for two guitar bands, they might end up going all out pop, because if rawaudioinput is right, then R&L/V/T are going to have to pull out some big bands

I wouldnt want to go to T4 on the beach or summer sessions, yeah I like pop music but at the moment TDCC and Of Monsters and Men are two of my fave acts to listen too and I want to see at least one of them at V, and I dont think either would play T4OTB

I cant see V going all pop, I think they will stay one band one pop act for a bit. I cant see them going for a big dance act to headline main, they will keep that to second stage or arena but everywhere has to pull big acts out

Haha, not a problem. Have you ever been to V? I can't say I'd ever go back again although a day on whichever selected day it was has been decent twice but the price has now gone up to much for me to think a day ticket is worth it

Haha, not a problem. Have you ever been to V? I can't say I'd ever go back again although a day on whichever selected day it was has been decent twice but the price has now gone up to much for me to think a day ticket is worth it

Yeah used to go every year from the lat 90s until a few years ago, used to be ideal really close by and even non festival friends and family used to go. The sort of people who wouldn't dream of going to places like Glastonbury, titp, reading etc etc.

Stopped as lineups were getting worse for my tastes and festivals getting more and more expensive so I was more selective. Like titp I used to go there every year aswel but as prices kept going up I was more selective. I used to do all the majors Glastonbury/v/titp/reading or Leeds every year and then download when that started.

I don't mind paying a bit more for v if the lineups matches up as I don't have travel costs and can nip back for proper food, showers etc etc.

I'm not trying at Mumford, as I said below, there was a couple suggestions for it - the HUGE tag drove me away from there. They are massive right now, but huge - as in Bruce, Coldplay, Foo's, Muse - nope

mumford gave nothing, people on here, not myslef but a few seem to have gussed at mumford at IOW but given the stature of the HUGE they are going for, I wasn't sure Mumford fit it. I'd also say Biffy Clyro would not be your option either, there was a 3 of The Prodigy, Kanye and Mumford by Matt - I don't even know whether The Prodigy would go under that.

Loved it, for atmosphere I would say only Glastonbury beats it. Although this might of changed by now as its been a few years since I've been, I think 2008 was my last one or it could of been 2009.

I used to like the mix of lineups there which was like a mash up of v and readings best bits. I actually think the lineups not to shabby this year, I don't think it's as bad as the titp thread says anyway.

Overall though the crowd are fantastic, first time I was thinking the old scots might have a problem with the English(although I'm half scot)but it was quite the opposite.

If I wasn't doing werchter I might have bitten for a titp this year.

There is one act you might have to get ready for.

Some people think this act could headline but John thinks they're wrong. Although putting an act after them could be a bit silly, or a bit of a protege.

I picture this booking could sound surreal.

A country band but not really.

i couldn't really scale the get ready for I don't think, and for the one he said are not headers in his view but might look strange not being, only Biffy Clyro came then.

So people think they could headline but John thinks they wouldnt? To me that doesnt point to Mumfords as I would have thought he would have wanted them to headline

I dont think Mumfords would be surreal

A country band maybe, but after all them clues I think it points towards an older band, with the surreal bit, like people wouldnt expect IoW to get them
