Gucci Piggy
Was tempted to go for Glastonbury on top of Leeds this year, but settled on Rock Werchter. Depeche Mode, Nick Cave, Sigur Rós, Rammstein, Blur, Biffy Clyro, The National, Bloc Party, Editors headline set. It's like heaven for me. Gucci Piggy
Going to be a great day Bastille Tom odell Monsters of men Depeche Editors Home time... That's actually my worst day overall, although Depeche Mode are really the only reason I'm going, so it makes up for it. Gogol Bordello Band of Horses Maybe catch some Of Monsters and Men and The Gaslight Anthem Depeche Mode Editors If only The National were subbing this day and 30 Seconds To Mars subbing Green Day! It would make more sense and fit much better for me.

Muppetmark
At Leeds I have 14 that I definitely want to see, that most probably won't clash, clashes permitted there are an extra 5ish acts I want to see. So it's not too crammed oh wow i have about 40 over the weekend at reading.... but mostly on the friday and sunday I might be tempted by werchter myself.....less than 2 weeks come on.. Werchter, Pukkelpop and tomorrowland are all on my to do list. Damn belgium has great festivals..

Damn belgium has great festivals.. no doubt there are a lot more on that lineup that I wouldn't mind seeing, but I've already ruled a lot out that I think will clash I want to go abroad next year, most of my friends aren't even willing to look to other fests in the uk as an alternative to R&L, let alone in europe though
Boris The Spider
Can you imagine the people watching Nick Cave who are waiting for Mumford though, they'll play Red Right Hand and they'll all go mental like "EMREHGHHARD THEY'RE COVERING AN ARCTICS SONG" I'm not totally against covers/sampling but I do always think in the back of my mind that the listeners just won't care about the orginal. Probably not that one in particular, it's mainly pop ones that annoy me.. cough the saturdays - just can't get enough, alexandra burke - hallelujah Edited June 23, 2013 by Boris The Spider

Probably not that one in particular, it's mainly pop ones that annoy me.. cough the saturdays - just can't get enough, alexandra burke - hallelujah I love the original Red Right Hand and the Arctics' cover, it's just so many Arctics fans think it's an original song, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are amazing, yet these people who claim to have the 'all seeing musical knowledge' cause they like Arctics probably don't even know they exist It's the same with NIN - Hurt, yes the Johnny Cash cover is amazing, but NIN made that song, the credit is theirs, don't go around saying "The lyrics to Johnny Cash - Hurt are beautiful", they're not his lyrics Sorry for the rant
Boris The Spider
No tried for tickets but no luck, I wouldnt watch the stone as I would be watching hurts. Other stage l9ok the bollox. I'd just have to see the stones, think paint it black might be my favourite song ever. Just thought, I saw Hurts at V - its not so bad ;-)
daniel.k
If I was going to glasto I would watch abit of the stones then go to chase and status then I can say I saw the rolling stones

Boris The Spider
Another prime example is Winehouse with Valerie! A cover I do prefer to the original though is the soft cell version of tainted love.. I also think Stu Larsens cover of Fix you was good, but thats just because he supported passenger and he pulled some good faces whilest singing. See if anyone can find the video I put on youtube of it
Boris The Spider
You mention Passenger almost as much as I mention 5ive Another interesting one for me was Happy Mondays - Step On. I didn't realise that was a cover at all until I heard it on a car journey one day + just thought this sounds familiar...
