I dont think she will be classed as a small headliner next tine she tours, she will be at the same level as biffy/kasabian. In fact ticket sales, album sales coukd very well be higher.

Yeah but as her first headline set (of a major uk festival) i reckon she would be classed as a smaller (and cheaper) headliner, or at a similar level to biffy this year, who are definitely the smallest of the r/l headliners

I'd imagine even as a "small" headliner the national would still be far too small, maybe Florence and the Machine as a smaller headliner?

that's the trouble if they hit it with headers and sometimes subs, they lose it on the rest. if they had DM, DP and Blur I think I'd have to go bu they won't

Florence and the Machine headlined last year... And are much bigger than The National.

Florance was being talked about headlining Reading, so I dont think she is a small headliner. Dont know about the national though, maybe they could bump someone up thats subbing somewhere this year, give them their first headline session.

I dont think the undercard for IOW is that bad usually, I would watch an act every 2 hours or so

From this year I would watch

Friday: Everything Everything, Jake Bugg, Fun, Ellie Goulding, Madeon, Example

Saturday: Lawson, Bastille, Ben Howard, Sub Focus

Sunday: Newton Faulkner, Imagine Dragons, The Script

I know its not loads of acts, and Example and Sub Focus are headlining their stages but its not too bad for me, I just wouldnt pay alot to go and see 13 acts over 3 days. The undercard in past years has been similar to this number of people I would see, so not real strong but not terrible for me but my tastes are different to alot of people on here

I think given the info on who JG wants for IOW, Mumfords will be doing V, maybe exclusive as pretty much everywhere else big will have already had them. I think they are sounding good and I cant wait to eventually see them.

Something I mentioned a few days ago in the Glasto Forum but didnt seem to be looked at was the possibility of where Florance could actually play there. Would she be 2nd/3rd main or headline The Other stage? I think she could headline IOW or anywhere else as you mentioned

Changed my mind, I think Mumford and Sons, Depeche Mode and Blur will do it. Enough variation for it to be feasible yet enough cohesion between the headliners for it to sell a large quantity of weekend tickets.
