The BBC aren’t dictating anything. The festival have signed an agreement with them which massively benefits the festival and helps it sell out every year and helps them book a load of other artists on the cheap and helps them fund millions in charity donations.
The bbc haven’t blocked anything. One artist has got sniffy and thrown his toys out the pram because the event is televised, which it has been for literally decades.
If you don’t like it, stick your ticket back in the pot.
Kylie Minogue feels like a strong replacement for Neil at the moment, I like her, she’s fun, I believe she would be good.
(Sorry for the edit, I got the sisters confused meant Kylie instead of Dannii 🫠)
no, but NY isn’t anywhere near as culturally relevant in the UK as a lot of other heritage acts, say the stones, Beatles, Bowie, Eagles, Clapton, the Jam, the kinks, Joplin, Hendrix, are all people I listened to growing up (42). My only NY reference point is a cover of Hey Hey My My on an oasis Bside.
coliseum checks floor cause youre wristbanded. Its just everywhere else. Making it all ga in seats at a stadium with an electronic act is the easiest way to go in some cases. Us oldies always know its gonna be a thing when they do it so never a surprise. I mean I did that at Rufus Du Sol a couple years ago. Bought cheap tickets and the main stadium concourse is the lower seats and nobody checked sh*t. Got there early and picked a spot. Their loss. It was nothing compared to people jumping down to the pitch later that night.
Edc Los Angeles was the real tragedy of having all ga at a festival with a stadium as a stage. Theres youtube footage. I was there and saw it happen
