In a way, it's a testament to how well British football is ran, because Coventry, who to be fair, aren't the smallest club, are the highest club on the football pyramid to be in the mire. Credit where credits due to all the other teams.

When football becomes unfashionable again, as surely is inevitable at some point, the bubble will burst, match day attendances will reduce, TV audiences will reduce, and TV income for football clubs will reduce. When that happens even the big clubs will be at risk if they don't see it coming and take mitigation action.

Rooney and Suarez are two low-IQ morons.

hmmmm .... surely even the stupid are allowed to make personal choices about how they'd like their career to go?

Rooney clearly isn't happy at Utd, and Suarez wants Chumps footie. Care to tell me why it wouldn't be the smart move for them to put themselves somewhere where those things aren't issues for them?

Suarez will do this to Arsenal in a couple of years too. Nae doubts there. Similar to Torres, he will have a more lucrative career away from Anfield. Of course whether it will be worth it is open to debate.

I'd fling him down to train with the reserves or the kids if I was boss. What good is 40,000,001 to LFC now when nobody wants to join the club anyway? I'm watching how Rodgers and Henry play this intently. It will be fascinating to see how hardline - or otherwise - they go. If there is this fabled clause let Suarez take LFC to court.

Scenario hasnt changed from yesterday. Info is public but we knew he was unhappy.

Oh yeah... and Pere Guardiola. What an agent!? If this punter has leaked a non-existant clause to Arsenal i'd say they'll be delighted. LFC should sue 'em both.

I agree with you 100%, don't get me wrong. He hasn't got a leg to stand on with this so called verbal agreement, but would you want to keep him at the club acting like a stroppy teenager? Best to get rid of in my opinion. He has previous with taking clubs to court so wouldn't put it past him!

Verbal agreements aren't admissible in court mate.

they are. They're no less binding in law than something written down. The problem is tho: how do you prove what was said?

That's particularly relevant in Suarez's case, because there's a contract that was agreed at the same time he supposedly had the verbal agreement that says something different to the claime3d verbal agreement.

So there's no doubt Suarez would lose in court if he claimed a verbal agreement, unless he has a recording of it.

Irony is that if Arsenal didnt play silly buggers with this "clause" the transfer might have gone through by now. Similar money to the Torres deal gets the player last week I reckon.

Will be a real hoot if Madrid make any kind of offer for him. Given the manner in which Arsenal have gone about this we'll be in nae interest to sell to them one would think.

They might have to step in there with a late bid for Osman, Nal. Moysie would wanna work fast on that one.
