TheGayTent
Seemingly. Lost his place at Newcastle (rightly) and needs to move on. Been a great pro and good servant to the club, but we've got better wingers than him now and he'd be better served getting regular football. Be interesting how he does there though, for all his hard work and that he's got some skill, he doesn't tend to create that many goals, which is what Norwich are really missing right now. kaosmark2
Is is true an Englishman hasn't scored for Newcastle in over a year? If it's true I might have a wager on it happening on Saturday!

Osama Jim Laden
I was thinking that, but ultimately, they've got a points gap, and they're not as badly off as others. Fulham, Cardiff, West Ham are all in bad shape, with Palace and Sunderland having improved but not got out of the relegation spots. Lots of teams will be worried, but I see it coming from those 5. kaosmark2
Could be, although Villa really ARE playing badly, can't keep hold of the ball.. Another match with less than 40% possession..

TheGayTent
No shame in losing by the odd goal in three against the league leaders.
5co77ie
Beckham just paid £31.5 million in cash for his new London home - I can't even imagine how many suitcases of money that is.
TheGayTent
I fancy he'll spend at least another £10 million "doing it up" too...

Osama Jim Laden
I agree with what you're saying, but it's hard to draw that as a conclusion from the Arsenal game. If anything I'd say that display makes them look likely to staying up, as they actually showed a bit of fight.
TheGayTent
Looks like hull are signing both Jelavic and Long. I don't like Bruce much, but I think he will keep Hull up.

pink_triangle
While there is no link between playing ability and management, you cant help think if theres a footballer more likely than most to succeed at management its Seedorf. Intelligent, articulate, experience of football in different countries/continents, a great role model and will inspire/command the respect of everyone in the dressing room. TheGayTent
Conflicting reports about whether Nicola Cortese has resigned from his position at Southampton. Could be interesting.
TheGayTent
Traore's work permit has been approved, presumably a contract will be signed soon - not seen him play, so fingers crossed he's an improvement on what we've got. Also the best player in the world, Carlton Cole has signed a new deal. Looks like Baines might be staying at Goodison - got to be pleased if you're an Evertonian? LondonTom
He will be better than Maiga in Big Sam's system anyway. Doubt he will reach the heights of the true big man Carlton Cole though!

pink_triangle
From a strategic viewpoint it may work in Pochetinos advantage to leave now in a position of strength, than in the future in a position of weakness. Unless they invest significantly, Im not sure they can progress much from where they are now.

strummer77
Yeah, got sorted earlier in the week along with Barkley, so expect that one to be announced imminently too. Exciting times ahead for Evertonians!
Bobs
Barkley is obviously a bonus but in a way wouldn't £16m+ for Baines be better? He's almost 30 and you coped fine without him... He doesn't seem to carry you like he did under Moyes.
