Who can you get for £10 these days! In reality as soon as PSG want a player that doesn't play for a top European side they will probably get them, as they will just up the bid until the selling club cant turn it down.

Cabaye is absolute class IMO, of course, where you draw the line as to "world-class" is a question, but I'd say he's one of the best mids in the Prem. But I also don't think a club in our position can realistically expect to hold onto players like him for more than 3 years. I'd assumed he'd go in the summer, but if PSG want to spend £25m or whatever it is now, we've got to accept that, buy another CAM and use the rest to improve elsewhere in the squad.

We'll get a hefty profit on the £4.6m we paid for him anyway.

I reckon Cabaye is one of the best players in Europe that won't be cup-tied for European competitions.

We need to sign a creative player this window if we sell him, theoretically we shouldn't end up panic buying...

Surely zaha will not be allowed to play. As for whether they will make more signings its difficult to say, they certainly need them (as do Liverpool and everton) but releasing statements that you are looking to spend probably pushes prices up.

To be fair, they didn't expect Chelsea to let Liverpool do their scouting for them.

Their squad is good enough for what they're going for. They never had a chance of winning the league, so a CL place is the key and with what they have, they're capable.

it looked like they were going to buy Salah at around £10M until Chelsea jumped in.

But I'm quite surprised that Rodgers keeps on getting funds, because he's bought at least half a team of will-never-make-it's.

So far, only Sturridge (a bit of a no-brainer) and Coutinho have really worked out. The rest have been a bit shit.

the ten matches when he was banned says there's no real need to worry on that particular score (tho of course things are more likely to work out good if he's fit).

Some people want to only see them as a one-man team but (when the current crocks are available, anyway) their results show that they're far less dependent on him than his prolific scoring might make you think.
