The reason Arsenal can do it against the smaller sides is because they're good enough to do so. United have shown time and time again that they're not.

This is a different United side from seasons past as well. Olympiakos were very poor on Wednesday. I suspect United won't get the chance to tear Bayern apart the way they got the chance on Wednesday. That's not mentioning the poor mistakes from the opposition, and the fact that they probably should have conceded more than once.

The United that gave Real a game won the EPL pretty comfily and were also managed by Alex Ferguson. I think we can appreciate that the two sides aren't really comparable.

Bayern are also pretty consistent this season.

What on earth is going on with Juan Mata btw? Just simply a case of Moyes having no idea how to use him effectively?

Utd have (on paper) one of the best front-threes in the world and are coming into form.

Right?

Wrong. RVP is injured, remember?

Just seen it on TV - congrats to Wenger on 1,000 games for Arsenal and thanks for giving the UK the best top level footie there's ever been.

I'd say it's much more than that. I'm no fan of the Moan, but he knows what's what.

Mata was the 'best' player in a weak (for recent times) Chelsea team. He didn't play much and Chelsea improved, then he left and they've got better still.

He's gone to Utd, and he doesn't influence or improve their game.

I'm no fan of Rolf either ... but can you see what it is yet? :P

The quality of the tournament this season is staggering. I'm seeing Chelsea supporters happy enough with the draw, and I think they're entitled to be. Entitled to be happy enough to be coming up against the likes of Ibrahimovic and Cavani.

Only Dortmund and Man United strike me as being completely out of the running at the moment. None of the rest winning the CL would surprise me.
