Depends on the ISP. I see they've blocked a load in the UK? Pisser.

I think myp2p.pe is still up and running?

it's blocked from the UK, tho there's some mirror sites of FirstRow that aren't blocked - but i'm guessing they won't be added to SportDevil?

is myp2p.pe one of the SportsDevil options? I have occasionally tried the others, but as far as I can remember i've never successfully got a stream from any of them.

Any other sites people know for streaming matches that aren't shown on sky and the like? I've never had a problem getting hold of those (and can always go to the pub), it's when there's matches I want that aren't anywhere I tend to stream.

There's almost always a range of streams for any match, tho sometimes there's only ones with non-english commentaries. Ones in English are normally marked as being in English, tho sometimes there's English ones amongst the ones which don't state the language.

Note that the quality of the different streams can vary a fair bit, so you might find yourself trying a few til you find one you're happy with.

Honestly not sure Neil. I don't stream via the Pi. Someone else on here does though if I remember? I'm sure theres a way round it. there always is!

I think it was essex george.

I'd guess that if SportsDevil doesn't give any way around it then the only way around the ISP block would be by hacking something of Raspxbmc - which is likely to only work temporarily, until the next update for Raspxbmc.

Or just mask your IP Address.

I don't think that'd do it.

I've not thought about this much so I might be wrong, but I'm guessing that ISPs are blocking all traffic from their networks from accessing the relevant IP.

Masking the requester's address wouldn't alter that; I'd have to divert my requests for FirstRow thru a proxie to get around it.

None of that's a hassle on a PC (tho I wouldn't bother, because there's alternative sources), but I can't be bothered to mess around with the Pi to do that for the little I use it. I guess I'll be reverting back to using PCs for watching footie if I can't easily access anything thru Sportdevil on the Pi from now on.

Should be a boatload more streams of English commentary this year for the EPL, I imagine as NBC are streaming every game online!

I imagine once those in the know, know how NBC have set it up there will be a way to get that feed.

(Just realized your looking specifically for something that goes into the Pi,opps!...What I'm hoping for is getting Chromecast in the UK sharpish, plug it into your TV, and you could watch any stream you can get on your PC/laptop on your TV!)

No. Just that its a tough start. Doesnt need to be a conspiracy for the system allowing that sequence of fixtures out of the hat. LFC got something similar last year and it de-railed them for a couple months.

As was said further upthread, Moyes has enough to worry about without feeling the pin of his collar in mid-Sept.

I still won't be hugely surprised if Moyes is gone by xmas.

I think that's less likely than him being successful, but footie management is a strange beast where for most managers everything has to fit them for them to succeed. All sorts of things could go wrong for him.

(I'll just point out that I've felt for years that Moyes would be the best guy to replace fergie, so i've more invested in him succeeding than I have him failing).

I think that while Fergie remains at the club, Moyes will be given more time, even if he's "failing" as Fergie won't want to be seen to have been wrong in suggesting him. He'll also be a reminder of the success Man U have had in sticking with someone who didn't succeed immediately.

Hmmm ... times are different to back then. Utd simply can't afford for Moyes to fail, else they're fucked financially.

Yes, they could probably scrape by for a year or two without Chumps footie, but if Moyes has caused them to fall by that much I can't see why they'd have much confidence that he'd get them back there. So he'd be gone pretty quickly.

As i say, i don't really expect him to fail; I'm merely recognising that he could.

If none of the 3 rumoured big transfers happen I reckon it's gonna be one of the most interesting seasons for years, cos there's all sorts of permeations for the effects they could each have both within the clubs those players are now, and in the clubs that are wanting those players.

My guess as things stand right now is that City look the most likely champions, tho what i've said for Moyes could happen there too.

4th place will be a massive fight between arsenal and spurs aswel.

And perhaps Liverpool.

As things stand, Arsenal are short of a striker, and Liverpool might have a happy Suirez and Spurs a pissed-off Bale.

And while like you I presume that City, Utd and Chelsea will be the top three (in whatever order), that ain't guaranteed either. Who knows, it might go tits-up for all three of those newly installed managers. Or perhaps just one of them.

Any permutation is possible, that's what makes it interesting. :)

Its true that man utd could do with some strengthening (as could any side) but they are still a very competitive side. They still have a good keeper, strong defence and good forwards. Their midfield doesn't impress me but it never held them back last season. When it comes to league football, I think they have players suited for regularly beating average/poor premiership teams which you need to do to win the league.

Despite winning the league comfortably last season, I think there are several players such as Valencia, Nani, and Young who need to turn up or will be shown the door next May. I would still be surprised if Moyes doesn't bring a midfielder in before deadline day.

Al Jazeera have the won the premiership rights for the middle east and Africa and are streaming every single match on their website. A few friends have signed up for it via a proxy, I guess Ill find out soon if they are getting all the matches successfully.
