In light of the article by the Daily Fail.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2395055/Premier-League-2013-14-preview-Sportsmail-experts-views.html thought i'd give my predictions on the season ahead.

Interestingly, have to laugh at Mr. Red himself Dominic King, tipping Liverpool to Win a trophy  , the same fella who managed to write a whole match review on the Merseyside Derby and not mention an Everton attack once, even though we won 3-0.

Champions: Man City. As a Málaga Fan, it was gut wrenching, if not inevitable when Pellegrini left. Man City have a great manager there, and i believe his hands on approach will lift then over Chelsea

Top 4: City, Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham

Europa League: Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton

Relegation: Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Hull

Champions League: Real Madrid - They have to One year

Europa League: CL Dropout

FA Cup: Chelsea

League Cup: Everton

Surprise Package: I'd say Southampton, but is that a surprise? Norwich

From the highlights it looked one of the most one sided games I have seen in a long time. Regarding the other (particularly Arsenal v Villa) games, I think a lot of conclusions are being drawn too early. My years as a football fan have told me that judgements made after 1 game often end up looking silly in May. I don't think you can completely ignore Arsenals solid defensive record last season on the basis of one game. For what its worth I think Villa could end up being the surprise package this season, staying up last year was huge and its hard to see them not kicking on.

I didn't hear him but apparently Owen has got a lot of stick for his performance for BT sport. I can see how he could fit the role of bland/uncontroversial pundit but I cant imagine him being effective in the commentary box.

Not really. We were ahead of you for a lot of 2011/12. We only fell behind you at the end really when we had a bad run then didn't really get going again- in quite a big part due to resting players for cup final etc.

Was only 2012/13 we were behind throughout and had a worse season.

Statisticon sky sports yesterday top 6 spenders in the transfer window are man city, chelsea, spurs (unsurprisingly) but also joined by cardiff, southampton and norwich. I can see the last 3 are either looking to consolidate or bridge the championship/premiership gap but surprised others havent shown their hand yet with just over a week to go.

man u offer £16m for Fellini and repeat the already rejected £12m for Baines. Cant see any reason for that except an attempt to unsettle players, After what Moyes said about Hughes over the Lescott affair too. Seems there is no room for principles in football.

Great start to the season :D Not overly worried by West Ham not converting chances yet, with Big Andy still to come back and I am sure Big Sam will start it out

No great shocks apart from Arsenal really, it's a game they should be winning but judging after one is just silly. All teams have an off day, it's how they respond to it afterwards. Football fans do my nut in tbh, I know Arsenal fans pay a fair amount at the Emirates but the demands to spend beyond your means are silly. I think Wenger's stance is fair, especially as they are not going ever have the cash to compete with the big dogs in Europe (or even Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea!). May aswell sit back in a sustainable way and hope for a decent cup run.

Anyway, it's great to have the premier back isn't it? :D Joined the Efestivals Fantasy League to :D

£28m

Well Moyes has burnt his bridges there, any fan who still is a fan of him from the blues is just mental.

Baines is arguably the best LB in the country, bid £12mbid gets rejected... What's Moyes do then? Waits 6 weeks and bids £12m again

What a knobhead.

Fellaini who's also rated at £30m, he bids £16m for  ... Sometimes, taking the Piss is taking the piss!
