Its stating the obvious but Ibra being missing was a huge loss for PSG. Chelsea are an annoying team in Europe, you watch that last 5 minutes and know that goal is going to come!

I didn't think PSG were much cop last week either. Chelsea gave away a total disaster of a third, and dominated much of the possession. They didn't look too different tonight, except with more purpose going forward at times due to needing the goals.

Fair play to Chelsea, that's 6 European semi finals in 8 seasons. They probably do not get the credit they deserve.

Would be surprised if its been bettered by an English side in the 'premier league' era.

I see chelsea as a "big game" team. I dont think that playing liverpool inbetween those games will worry them at all, if they are still in the title race. Of course if they have dropped out of the title race and play their reserves, thats a very different thing.

While he'll be missed, him being out certainly isn't the be all and end all and Scurrle has been terrific since the turn of the year.

Had both games on different screens tonight. Mainly focused on Athletico v Barca. Barcelona were rubbish the whole game and were lucky to lose so narrowly. I normally don't like 2 finalists from the same country but Athletico v Real would be great, only if it could be guaranteed the former won!

Watched bits of the united game, I think over the 2 legs they did about as well as they could.

And so ends the pipe dream of many Utd fans - that they would win the CL, hoping Liverpool slip to 4th and thus prevent the Pool playing in the CL next year. Was never going to happen, but its always nice to see something definitively come to an end.

Next year is the first year Utd dont play CL football since the year after Blackburn won the PL and thats of course only because back then only Champions got into the CL.

The problem for clubs like United is they cannot live long without Champions League Football.

actually, they can. Financially, the best return would be to have Utd as around a 15th place team.

Given who the club is owned by, that might be the plan!

So.... if Atletico and Chelsea get drawn in the next round and Cortois plays against Chelsea, Atletico have to pay Chelsea £6m!
