I think with the difference being 5 points chelsea will go for the liverpool match. If it was 6 they may give up due to the goal difference. In reality I think different clubs value the leag and champions league differently. If you had offered liverpool either trophy at the start of the season they would have chosen the premiership while Arsenal, Chelsea and City would have all chosen the champions league.

Reminds me of a time at primary school when our cool Dutch cookery teacher went on holiday and instead of entrusting an adult neighour with the keys gave them to a group of schoolkids to feed the cat every day, because she was down with the kids and wanted to show faith. You want to celebrate a lot, cos the signings probably won't get much more major than that.

Personally, I think he'd be a bit foolish to leave soton this summer. He's likely to end up warming the bench i reckon, because he's not going to be on the radar of the likes of LvG. They're going to be wanting the same experience in their players that the club wants in their manager.
