Absolute bullshit, I don't like to say this as you shouldn't have to rely on the ref but we were robbed.

Weimann got pulled down by the shirt in the box whilst going for a header

Ivanovic should have been sent off

then he scores

then kicks benteke in the face and BENTEKE gets booked for complaining to the ref that he let it go, so thats twice he should have gone

He did another professional foul after this and doesn't get a second booking AGAIN

Then Terry does a CLEAR handball in the box straight in front of the ref and the ref does NOTHING.

Then he books Villa players after the final whistle for questioning why he didnt give a pen.

DISGRACE. KEVIN FRIEND. DISGRACE.

To above ^^

Said straight away handball to my dad as it hit Terry's arm, bet you if it hit Vlaars arm or Clarks it was a red card and a penalty.

Too much big team protection, especially when they're at home.

Too show the mass inconsistency of premier league refereeing though, Steven Taylor got sent off for the exact same thing, did Ivanovic even get booked?

He held us to ransom by refusing to train just before he left which was after his best season. At the moment though he will do a job with the Arteta injury. Wenger has a history of letting old players train with us so it's not a massive surprise. Would rather he put his efforts in to securing the 4 first team players we need as a minimum. Just worry about the idiots we have doing our negotiations as they are going to get tucked up in the next week or so.

Well another week of the Prem, and i'm still absolutely baffled.

Liverpool were shite, but beat a Villa team who battered Arsenal, and came close to beating chelsea in the week, knackered who knows? Good finish by Sturridge

Everton could finish off WBA, should have but never, sign of things to come?

Southampton got a good win last week, yet struggled, and ultimately never beat Sunderland, who lost to Fulham last week.

Hull beat Norwich, and palace came close to beating stoke

I'd say the only thing i can take from this weekend is that Stoke, Newcastle and West Ham are all shite

Don't think we were 'shite' at all. We were absolutely fantastic for 40 minutes and Villa barely had a kick until just before half time. Admittedly second half an impressive Villa team came out and we lost our way with possession. However we defended very well (Toure and Mignolet were both impressive) and got a valuable 3 points at a ground I don't see many teams winning at.

A lot of character and resilience to grind out a win. Something I haven't seen us do for a while, and we have done it two weeks running. If we remain that shite for the rest of the season we'll be ok :D

That said, whilst us dropping off a bit in first two games is understandable, but we can't do that every week or we will get punished.

My view has always been that you cant read too much into preseason form. However as a fan of a club who have taken 5 points for 5 games, I would quite happily have taken more points without playing well! You cant achieve anything after a few games but you can make things very difficult.

Moysiah strikes again ay!

End of the season, could be a valuable point for Chelsea, as for United, Rooney looked like he was playing for Mourinho there, see if he turns up next week!

Lacklustre United. They have to improve surely?

Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool all have to improve but fact is all will probably finish 1-6 in some order at the end of the season. I really don't understand why Jose doesn't seem to rate Mata, I think he is a fantastic player and would be a sad loss to the premiership if he goes abroad. I wonder if he sees him as the only way of persuading utd to give up Rooney.

Good finish by Sturridge

currently the hottest English striker by a VERY long way!!!

Not seen any footie this season so far, apart from last night's rather boring match - which struck me as Moaniho seeing not losing as much more important than winning. I'm guessing that he's working the squad upwards by first ensuring they're hard to beat, cos a loss last night would have wasted the previous two games from Moaniho's point of view.
