The Nal
Gerrard pushing the camera away from Suarez last night reminded me of the end of Pythons The Search for the Holy Grail. Sort of sums up LFCs season really!
strummer77
It was nothing to do with players losing their heads etc... You was simply pushing to hard to reduce the goal difference. You thought you was Roy of the Rovers when you was three up... and instead you got sucker punched three time
The Nal
Isn't that the same thing? They lost their heads and were pushing for goals at 3-1. At 3-2 they completely went.
ThomThomDrum
Bit mad pushing for 8 or 9 goals in the last 20 minutes away from home against a team in roaring form?

ThomThomDrum
Liverpools 11 game run was remarkable considering their defensive issues They have the worst defence in the top 5. They have let in 23 goals more than Chelsea. That nearly double the amount of goals! They have the 2nd worst in the top 8. Only Spurs are slightly worse. They have even conceded more goals than the likes of Palace, Hull and Man Utd!!!!
mrtourette
They don't even have to pay the fine (which will no doubt be reduced on appeal) in one, they can spread it out over three years.

The Nal
Yes and no. At 3-0 with 10 to go pushing for a fourth isn't mad. I don't think we were going wrong until Johnson deflects that first in though - they were on damage limitation - so going for a couple of goals wasn't madness. However at 3-1 you forget that and just calm down, instead they all went up for a corner... Edited May 6, 2014 by The Nal
LondonTom
I still fail to see what the hell they have done wrong... The whole FFP stuff is a joke established to protect the "biggest" teams.
zahidf
Ok: funniest incidents of the season so far? Stevie G slipping and then having to run really fast but failing to catch Ba is definitely up there. Suarez crying is quite funny, but if it's liverpool, we have to go with Stevie G's slip. John Terry crying is always funny. The look on Ferguson's face when Fulham equalised at Old Trafford. Hell, most of Utd's season. strummer77
Anyway its not over yet. No guarantee City won't lose a game.
Wooderson
And that point at Palace suddenly becomes very valuable? Haha. It's a funny old game but surely, surely not...

The Nal
Why couldn't City lose one of the next two games? They've lost 6 this season and been ran close a few times in other games. All it takes it a red card or an injury, another Kompany moment of madness, a cross to bobble off someones ballbag etc and its game on. Who would've thought Liverpool were going to implode last night? 49 goals conceded is appalling for a team going for the league though granted. Beachball Brucie has a better record at Hull in 15th. eFestivals
All the finest LFC sides are founded on defensive strength. Traditionally we wouldnt be even in the same ballpark as lets say Man Utd in terms of an "entertaining footie" ethos. LFC ground out results.you youngsters have no idea. eFestivals
Last time City lost a league game at home against West Ham they were playing at Maine Road...Since then, in 7 games City have won 6 and drawn 1.If the Mickeys are relying on West Ham they're clutching at straws!I don't think anyone's relying on them (other than the porn dwarf & dildo man, to make them lots of money ).But football's a funny old game. You never know what might happen.
