We never took our lad to Glastonbury when he was little, but I've a hunch it will be a great experience. We did take him to a few other festivals, and we had a blast at Womad, whereas we found Camp Bestival quite annoying. Our conclusion was that it's better to take a young kid to a great festival where activities for children are add-ons, as opposed to a super family-oriented festival where it just didn't feel like a proper festival and 'have fun!' felt like it was being continually drummed into us. (Plus there were far more annoyingly precocious kids at Camp Bestival.)
Expecting something like Fender/Catfish/Biffy with a few Scottish (ish) acts touring next year to take decent slots-Franz Ferdinand, Travis,Primal Scream, Snow Patrol (like I say, ish), Barry Can’t Swim, Lauren Mayberry. Plus some smaller names like Rianne Downey and Swim School.
Surprised Elbow have never done it, and Confidence Man would make a brilliant King Tuts headliner.
I mean, Pulp are meant to be around in some form next year, with both Jarvis and Mark saying as such in separate interviews, and back in the UK after skipping us entirely this year.
Where they end up - dunno.
