Osama Jim Laden
I would like some decent football and 12th to 15th. Perfectly reasonable given the players at his disposal, budget, and standard of opposition IMO. I expected an Allardyce side to be stronger than the sum of its parts. It's not. In fact, it's weaker. There are many pretty poor sides in the division from what I have seen, and most if not all will be above Allardyce's come Boxing Day. Osama Jim Laden
I'd like to see him stay and get them relegated, myself, finally show his arrogance up and I've no love for west ham. I just think his tactics haven't developed over the years while other teams have improved.
LondonTom
Nolan being shit and the captain is a problem. The solution is to drop him and take the captaincy off him. Not continue to play him. How many team's worst player is the captain? Only example I can think of was Mike Brearley - but that's going back a few years and a different sport altogether! TheGayTent
But he wasn't our worse player coming into the season, so I can see where the reluctance even if it's been clear for a few games that Nolan is just not working... Ironically the main problem I think is trying to fit Ravel into Sam's plan he had for the season. It's like they didn't see him getting that good in matches that quickly. kaosmark2
Agreed, Sullivan & Gold(s) knew that when appointing him, no flair but WILL get the job done.. Footballing wise, bloody awful.. Effectiveness, pretty useful..
LondonTom
It's Allardyce's insistence on finding a place for Nolan that causes the issues - like playing Diame on the wing !!
kaosmark2
What about his "european" 4-6-0 strikless tactic? ...Admittedly it got found out almost straight away after.
LondonTom
Do not mess with Ravel! (To be fair I am sure Moxley had his hand in Rav's face before this bit.)

kaosmark2
Great performance and fantastic player. However have heard a few people talk about it as the best individual performance of the season. I personally think you need to consider the standard of the opposition when making such a statement and Norwich away are pretty terrible. pink_triangle
I really enjoy when the premiership is on midweek. Its funny people were talking about AVB being in big trouble yet looking at the table he has accumulated more points than man utd and only 3 less than the Merseyside teams. Regarding Man Utd from watching the highlights I think it would be harsh to blame Moyes tactics, they looked to be playing pretty well and had more than enough chances to win the game. Unfortunately for them Rooney didn't have his shooting boots on today and nobody else stood up. They cant really afford to let that 5 point gap get much bigger or they may end up needing to win the champions league. Couldn't imagine the tension if Liverpool finished 4th and Man Utd got to the final!
pink_triangle
Suarez has an insane record against Norwich by now. The question is would Liverpool have won it without him? The answer is probably. I think it's hard to rate it that highly.
strummer77
They were four great goals though, two of them goal of the season contenders. Norwich might be a lower team but how many players score four goals of that quality against any side? Enjoy him whilst he's here because it won't be long. For all the controversy he's the best player to watch in the world at times. So unpredictably brilliant. Essex_George
Oh I'm not disputing his quality at all. I kinda hope he goes to Arsenal because I want him to stay in this league. Such an exciting player. I just don't feel an in-form player trashing an out-of-form side should be considered that remarkable.
eFestivals
I'm such a fucking stupid arse. I looked at the fixtures last night, none jumped out at me as particularly interesting matches, and so I plumped for the Arsenal/Hull game on the basis that it would probably be pretty with plenty of goals. How the fuck did I forget about how much Suarez loves Norwich? (I did switch matches at half time).Stunning, stunning goals.(Dammit, I can't find that post of TGT's where he says Liverpool will struggle for goals ). Apart from the 2nd goal I'm not sure that any team could have stopped the other 3.
