Rob Zombie

Megadeth

in fairness, they have previous issue with playing heavier events apparantly so download doesn't exactly bode well with that for them wanting to big up and promote new stuff

Is that "previous issue" supposed to the Roskilde tragedy? If it is, Pearl Jam always request extra security and since then, a lot more precautions have been implemented to prevent another Roskilde. This shouldn't stop them playing Download.

But it may have stopped them playing Download. They've been doing festivals again since 2006 and they've not headlined once despite being the frontrunner most years. Rock Am Ring's the same.

Desperately hoping that we get Biffy, Pearl Jam, Tool, NIN or someone of that caliber today. Hlowever, I'd prefer a lot of bands over the seemingly inevitable Aerosmith.

Well I forgot how awesome Rob Zombie is... haven't listened to him for years but loving this... hmm I'm coming around to the idea of Download this year. Avenged should be decent, Zombie will be awesome, LP should be very good and I want to see FOB despite the fact they are crap outdoors (never seen them indoors so they may be crap live in general but youtube vids look decent).

I saw FOB at Reading this year... They were ok... But only ok.

They seem a similar booking to 30STM. They however at least have very good crowd interaction if you don't like their songs... Whereas as FOB struck me as quite dry. They were fine but I'm a bit disappointed they are subbing when we had QotSA last year!

Fingers crossed for Pearl Jam... That would make it strong for me...Aerosmith would be meh... But I'd prob still watch them
