Which is why FOB are a strange booking, when a big part of there fan base won't be there.

Go for it man, I'm happy it's on a sat and I don't work weekends so no need to even book a day of hol, just need a driver for the day haha

I wouldn't quite go as far as 10 years, I'd say 2007/2008 they started becoming a bigger deal but I'd say it was 08/09 they were at their biggest with the larger capacity venues.

But I do agree it's a silly booking in terms of Download, it is however one I can cope with for that day of being there, having been a fan of their earlier stuff and seeing them at Leeds in the earlier years.

I'm hoping that because it is Download that they will keep that poppy new album shite to a minimum and play more stuff off of Take This To Your Grave and From Under The Cork Tree.

I even made an ideal setlist the other night, but nobody else on here likes FOB (I like the pre-hiatus FOB) so nobody would be able to comment on it

I liked a lot of their stuff pre hiatus and they were on my must see list. That happened at Leeds this year and to say I was disappointed is a massive understatement. Light em up was the song most sang to, they didn't know the other stuff and to be fair I think they sucked a bit. Nothing like I imagined. Worst of all though was how the fat singer has remodelled himself as a teen pop pretty boy. I honestly thought it was someone else for the 1st 3 songs. I'll watch them again if there's nothing better on (unlikely then) as I give every band a second chance. I suspect download will have a more pre hiatus kind of crowd.

I think their new album has a fair few great tunes (in fact would say more than half is great) on the new album... yeah they are pop tunes but great all the same.. in a lot of ways I prefer it to their older stuff (although seeing them live I would want a good mixture... just a selection from every album) and as far as the lead singer looking different goes I would say well done for losing the weight... and I'm sure if I lost all my weight I would want to dress a bit nicer also. Wouldn't say he looks like a teen pop pretty boy though or whatever was said earlier.

heard mixed reviews about their R&L performance but I'm kind of glad now that I decided to turn down a ticket for the fest as except for Biffy, FOB only due to liking them back in the 07-09 period were one of the only other bands for me that day but it's kind of opened up for me to see them at Download now. I'll be happy enough when they play Sugar and Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy - actually still love that song a lot haha.

Going to give their new album a proper listen. I didn't actually mind Infinity On A High
