Just checked the pretty reliable mingthemercilessforecast.com and apparently we should be expecting "Hurricane", "Tornado" and "Hot Hail".

That sounds like a dodgy substance website rather than a weather forecast !

An hour south of the site here in Lancaster there are ominous clouds overhead

And I *think* I might be the reason. I've been debating since I split my wellies last year do I buy a pair or don't I? In TKMaxx yesterday trying them on and thought naaaaaah, waste of money, its gonna be scorchio. Now, cos of this it's gonna rain. If I buy wellies it won't. That's how my life works. I better buy some I reckon.....

Ha ha gotta love, torrential rain, possible flooding, lightening, high winds and possible hailstones.

Right,,, countryfile,,, the worst of the thundery rain is on Tuesday which could be heavy and lead to localised flooding with the ground being baked dry, after that it cools down with isolated showers and looking at their report I'm optimistic about next weekend. Not looking as bad as I first feared.
