dan05delaney
Really want to know the substance behind this now! edit: As well as Prince and Oasis?! Maybe these rumors are down to general chat and the bookies rather than information. Or are the music gods trying to give me a breakdown. jimmyt
If I was an Eavis, I wouldn't ever book a band again who had openly said that they hated playing the festival. Also we have no idea what the weather is going to be like (NFRNFC I know I know...) on the festival so why risk a band who is only going to be "happy" (and surely thus on good form) if it's dry? mb23
Haven't posted on these forums in aaaages! Going to Glasto for the first time this year. Cannot wait! So, my headliner predictions are Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters and David Bowie. Think the first and last are pretty much nailed on. Hearted rumours about Foos but not seen much on here maybe people know something I dont ? They'd be a great booking but not sure if they fit Glasto demographic? Really hope Arcade Fire play, one of my favourite bands. Would have stuck them up top if not for the fact Eavis said the headliners have never played before (theyve definitely played), so would it be unreasonable to make them subs, or even Other Stage headliners? Early days anyway, can't wait to see it all unfold!

fosterman
Thought I'd have a go at predicting Kasabian New Order Fleetwood Mac Florence and the Machine Arcade Fire Elbow
DomDom1984
I think we might get a David Bowie/Arcade Fire headliner/sub combo, and David Bowie to also play whatever Hard Rock Calling is called these days. I think that would suit him. Edited October 7, 2013 by DomDom1984
Dog Burger
I reckon we're looking at Depeche Mode, Fleetwood Mac and Elbow. Or those people who're going will be anyway...
Ted Dansons Wig
Personal choice would be Bowie/ Zep/ Prince. And theres as much chance of any of these as it being Elvis/The Beatles and the Big Bopper.

5co77ie
Exactly what I thought. I haven't got a ticket, why am I still stalking around this thread? Am I in a strange state of denial?

Dog Burger
I remember reading a few years ago that Michael Eavis wanted to get the average age of the crowd down, and stop the same people coming year after year. I didn't agree at the time, and I'm not sure I do now - it's not just sour grapes because I've just missed out for the first time, there's many reasons why I don't think that's the right way to go. But it's hard to argue with it being a first-come, first-served meritocracy.

JayBalls
If Daft Punk are there I would be made up (there are always rumours of Daft Punk :/) Kasabian are awesome saw them at Reading 2012, although I know even if I don't know/like any of the headliners I will still have an amazing time :-D
JoBalls
I don't think we can expect Bowie. He has headlined Glasto already, which goes against what Eavis said about all three headliners for next year not having done it before. Also he hasn't toured for 10 years and has outright said that he has no plans to play live next year... I can't see him putting together a whole show JUST for Glasto. Dubious Morals
Interesting speculation this year. Am I right in thinking that Fleetwood Mac are looking very likely at the mo, given what little we know? Does anyone have any hint that David Bowie or Daft Punk are at all likely? Other than them releasing albums last year of course. Are Arcade Fire, Elbow or Kasabian considered big enough to headline?
