Cave would be really selling himself short as well if he took the Acoustic slot. It didn't engage the masses with the bad seeds last time to be fair. Even for a band after that were absolutely massive at the time it didn't get the usual we'll sit through this for it. Expand Cheers. Well if old Nick can't engage the masses with a full group, he's not got a cat in hell's chance sat alone at the piano in a huge field. Maybe Nick Kershaw or Nick Heyward would be a better (and cheaper) booking. My mate promotes gigs in the North East and was saying you can book Nick Heyward for around £100 these days or £125 if you want all the old Haircut 100 hits. Expand Why because he called Mumford sh*t and anyone who likes them has no music taste and I said those people will be thinking the same vise versa? That's just stating facts dude, every music fan is entitled to like what they do without being told its not proper music which is what he does. I've just said people don't have to dislike Mumford or any band in that scenario for that matter because he says doesn't like it and says its rubbish. If you disagree with that then it might be your perspective that music fans should be controlled for what they like.
Alvoram
Just a gentle reminder to keep things about the music folks. Sharing your opinions on artists is fine, including negative opinions (I wouldn't, by choice, be at either Mumford or Nick Cave for those wondering, but I may well get dragged there. 🙈🤣) But please don't cross the line into personal attacks. Not singling anybody out here, as a few have skirted close to the line, just a general gentle reminder. 🙂
