Aye this hasn't come at a great time for me money wise as I've already forked out on Sigur Ros tickets last week, although I'd kick myself for missing him again. Gonna have to see how much tickets are and feel this one out.

There will probably be price brackets but the "cheap" seats will be in the gods. I reckon they'll be close to £50 anyway.

I'm thinking announcement today..... allows people to get ready for the O2 priority presale which will start on Weds (48 hours before the general sale) and General sale on Friday.

Which would be nice. I get paid on Fri so whenever they go on sale I can bag one - as long as it isn't like £300 a ticket

Big Shazza was definitely the support for Manchester, Scruff, you aren't imagining it. I wasn't there but I remember being in a state of grief and turmoil that the gig fell on a date when I was on holiday, and Sharon really drove the stake in (fucking pissed it down where I was in Belgium and all).

Sharon and the lads in Manchester Cathedral on the Are We There tour was the absolute tits, one of my fondest ever gig memories.

If Cat Power supported for the UK dates as well I'd be very chuffed, although the MEN is a fucking shed, can he really not just do the Apollo like a reasonable person would?

I mean, I looked it up and there were reviews that said Shilpa Ray was the support, with pictures of her performing at the gig. Are you saying the pictures were faked? Are you Lemmy?

seeing as though I am bored at work (on light duties cos of my hernia with nothing to do) I thought what better to do than watch old school Glasto vids?

 

As if we all need reminding how AWESOME this was but there you go. I was sceptical going into the gig (had only just gotten into NCATBS and was told by a mate that Cave was 'weird' live) but fucking loved it. I especially love when Nick goes up to the barrier at about 15:20 and the security tries to grab his belt and gets told not to and he turns round and tries to kick out  

 

Also sorry if anyone thinks this has been revived with a gig announcement

It was a storming set though. Must have watched that performance of "Stagger Lee" at least a hundred times. Technically all over the place and he forgets the words, but it sends shivers down my spine!

still annoyed he will be playing the O2 it seems but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless, been wanting to see him ever since.

That date is a shitter for me as I've got an early flight on the Sunday and the O2 is on the other side of London, but going to have to suck it up. I guess my fear is that I'll buy tickets and then they'll announce another date but it could only really be the Friday for me... don't want to take the chance. And it's better than it being when I'm actually away, I guess.

Tickets not on sale until next week then. Presumably o2 Priority on the Wednesday.

Goddamn I can't afford this, but I'll definitely be trying for tickets. Sure do wish it wasn't an arena show though. Pretty baffling booking for the album he's touring.
