I watched The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford the other day without any prior knowledge of the film. My eyebrows nearly came off my head when the man himself showed up.

The soundtrack was divine too, amazing how Nick and Warren (or Jonny Greenwood in the same year) didn't receive awards for their score.

I love all his film projects, the soundtracks he does with Warren Ellis are all really good. Although I can't listen to The Road one because that film depressed the hell out of me.

Probably not. I can think of a few things I'd like to dress him up as but it would purely for my own personal gratification.

Not yet - but only cos the cheapest I can find is on stub hub at around 60 quid and I reckon I'll get them for that or less on the night.

My tickets were about £45 face value so that doesn't seem too bad. I'm sure you'll be fine though. Perhaps you have better bargaining skills than me!

I keep arguing with myself whether to get that, or wait till sellers start to panic and lower price. Tickets normally come down in price nearer to the date. As long as there's still some available when I get there, I don't mind.

Yeah you'll be fine. I bought my second ticket in a rash moment of madness and could have got it way cheaper if I'd waited. I lack sense when it comes to Cave. Still considering trying to get a touted ticket for Koko on the night and am a bit alarmed by how much I might pay! Although I did turn one down for £300 in February, which I think showed remarkable restraint.

The gigs are so close now! Need to take off my resentful miserable head and get my excited one on soon.
