Nick Cave

Midnight Man

Koko is one main floor with, best described, large balconies.. Nice room, saw the Inspiral Carpets there with their 'new' nasal singer..

Thanks! Just had a bit of a wobble that I might have accidentally ended up with seated circle tickets or something. That happened to me when I saw Bowie.

I've just emailed Koko to ask about stage times also. Not that I'm obsessed or anything.

really? fuck that. I might go to the cinema. I'll just push some nerdy looking girl out the way and take her spot when I arrive or something.

I've not been quite as close as I might have liked thus far - despite pushing multiple nerdy looking boys out of my way.

So, provided my mate is up for it, I want to get there when it opens.

Quick question for y'all.

What's the general consensus on whether Cave will tour these shores again? With Grinderman or (preferably) the Bad Seeds. He will right? Saw him at Glastonbury but still need to get around to seeing him at one of his own shows.

I'm just wondering because the man is 56, which is by no means 'old' but surprised me. He's seemingly on top form now, but I'm a bit worried he may call it a day regarding extensive touring when he reaches the old six-zero.

Please convince me otherwise eFests!

I read an interview the other day where he said he wants to quit at 60. That was in 2008 though and people tend to change their minds as they approach that date.

I'd be amazed if he quits touring and making albums any time soon. He enjoys it too much. I reckon he'll go on forever, like Leonard Cohen.

Well, that's what I have to believe anyway!

Incidentally, they seem to tour albums more than once quite a lot, even if it's only a few dates.

Not lying guys. Awesome gig as always.

Crowd were dead during the whole gig apart from Deanna. Would pick a highlight but the whole gig was just perfect.

Cave broke his mic stand and lost his mic during Deanna, Walked over and grabbed Warren's then the stage technician got his mic back.

Enjoyed the new song which they played last

, some guy shouted out "what about Lou reed?" Which Cave replied "well this is for Lou"

Got into trouble by some female in the crowd during Higgs as I was only person around me into it and knocked her drink out her hands (it went all over me) when the monkey had a gift that he was sending back to you . Wow what a gig. Still trying to take it all in.

Fucking hell. Happy for you Jokers. Now these songs are out of the bag though, I think they're way more likely to pop up at Koko.

Personally I want Are You The One more than Watching Alice but it's okay as we'll get both.

Disappointing about the crowd. For some reason I always thought Scottish crowds would be better than London ones.

If you want my Koko ticket you are actually going to have to commit homicide. I'd say it's worth the prison sentence but it depends if you can be arsed.

I'm the opposite. I think they are way less likely for koko now. They obviously aren't viewed as particularly special by the band.

I think we will get a straight forward greatest hits set with all the obvious songs played. It doesn't really make sense to have obscure songs for a televised gig that will need to appeal to a broader range of viewers

I'm devastated

Don't be a dick. It's not a 'televised' gig, it's a gig they're filming for 20,000 Days On Earth - an extremely niche film that won't get wide release. It's not like it's prime time on the BBC or anything. Besides, he has been playing the greatest hits with a few specials one slotted in hasn't he? And the new album.

They'll show one to two songs at most during the film I'd say. Maybe Stagger Lee and one of the new ones? Who knows? I think we're highly likely to get Watching Alice at least. I'm putting a virtual fiver on it now in fact.
