There's not loads of chat. Just some dick who thinks he's really funny. But isn't. Most of it is chat-free though.

I don't think Thom Yorke is a tosser either. Just that Radiohead are rubbish live.

:nono:

you are going to get downgraded to within an inch of your life.

I wondered when you'd get an answer to THAT statement, ha ha

well my live from kcrw finally arrived!

It's as great as I hoped. Some observations:

1. shame there arent more push the sky away songs. Definitely missed we know who you are. I cant see why they couldnt have put a stripped back version of jubilee street on there too. 10 songs is pretty short.

2. That version of Mercy Seat. I mean its nice to hear it in a different way but meh, not a big fan of what they did to it.

3. I'm guessing this gig was attended by nick cave "super fans" right? So why does the audience piss themselves with laughter at the lyric "I was the match that lit up her snatch"?? The fuckers KNOW it's coming. So HOW does it make them laugh out loud?? Bellends.

3a. The same thing happened in london when he says "hannah montana" in higgs boson. Why does this make people laugh out loud?? We all know the lyric is coming. People aint no good indeed.

4. That prick asking for nick the stripper: smug tit.

5. The audience noise being muted when the songs start, thank god!

Overall verdict: Ace!

Hooray! I was going to say exactly the same thing about the audience laughter. 'Ooh he said snatch...' - are they children or what?! 180 people there - it's criminal me and you weren't two of them and those dickheads were. I noticed it with the Hannah Montana lyric in London every time too and every time it fucking annoyed the hell out of me.

I agree they could have added more songs. But I *love* that version of Mercy Seat.

I think the versions of PTSA and Higgs Boson are incredible on there though.

Shall we go and hunt down that smug git? I hate him more with every listen.

Yep, and I really really liked wide lovely eyes. We didnt get that at the london gigs did we? if my memory is right. I agree that is the best higgs I've ever heard. And then far from me and stranger than kindness. What a start!

I like mermaids too, but I dont know why nick himself loves it so much. Wasnt that the one he's been introducing on the tour as the best song they've ever done?? I dont get it.

I'm dreading hearing that smug turd again. The worst thing is I think nick cave laughs, but not AT him, but WITH him.

Arrgghh

I agree with all of that. The Wide Lovely Eyes is exceptional and you're right - I don't think we got it. I like that and Higgs way more than Mermaids (which is also great) but yeah Nick has a particular hard-on for the latter. His taste in his own music is often wrong though, I find.

He does laugh! Think that's what annoys me the most!

One time though, at a Grinderman gig, someone requested a Cave song and he looked daggers at them and said 'Wrong band'.

Initially, on first listen, I thought 'Birthday Party, ha, that's funny.' Its gets less funny each time though...

Have you investigated Birthday Party yet dentalplan?

Christ! That's brilliant haha. That'd give me nightmares.

I looked around and except the odd video on YouTube I can't find anything and can't really be buying the CD's for a while - spending too much on Nick Cave books and CDs to give out as Christmas presents. :P But yeah I've liked what I've heard so far.

They are brilliant. Check out my new namesake if you haven't already - that's my favourite by them. Contains the lines 'My heart is a fish toasted in flames', 'We live our lives in a box full of dirt' and 'Oh God, let me die beneath her fists'.

It's a love song :D

Sounds about right. I don't think I listened to that as I didn't know what the new username meant until now so I will have to listen to that later.
