Hey!

This year is mine and my friends first time at V festival (western park) and i was wondering if any of you that have been before could give us some tips.

I'd be grateful if anyone could help me out on these topics!

what site is best for 4 19 year old girls who love a drink and don't really care about sleep but not into drugs and setting stuff on fire!

what essentials should we take and what should we avoid taking?

what should we take our stuff in? heard a lot about these festival trolleys?

how much money should we plan on taking?

and any general tips would be appreciated!

Thank you! :-D

Don't know about V specifically.

But in general, festival food and drink is a massive rip off. So i always bring a fair bit of my own drink and some munchies so i don't need to fork out too much when i am there.

I would often bring spirits to save space in my bag but if you plan on bringing a crate of beer or something, you may need a trolley. I just take a big Duke of Edinburgh expedition style back pack though.

Travel light. Every year I don't listen and every year I regret it.

A few toiletries, a couple of bits of clothes, tent, booze, camera. Bam.

I take one of these: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=hand%20truck&rlz=1C1CHMO_enGB509GB509&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&authuser=0&ei=javnUemcIK7Q7AapqYDoCQ&biw=1920&bih=979&sei=j6vnUazbLYe50QXX-YE4

fits a few crates on, my tent and my chair. Much easier to drag that and not carry anything.

I think you'll be fine in red blue green.

Depends how strong u are on the amount of stuff u bring.

I've got a little fold up trolley for cans and we take a small stove (great for brews in the morning) but my son takes biscuits and washes his teeth in 'bow....I like a little bit of luxury.

Obvious things like don't leave anything valuable in the tent, wear a hat in the arena (some people think its funny to fling piss).

Above all enjoy yourself, message me if you need to know anything specific.

lauren - don't take anything you're not prepared to lose! we take cheapo mobile phones £8 on ebay. they last a week on a single charge and no-one wants to nick them.

if there's enough of you to share the load - we take a couple of disposable bbqs and a load of beans, toms, frozen sausages / bacon and some eggs / bread rolls for breakfast..... it's worth it just to see the jealous looks on the faces of your fellow campers!

michelle - why do people do this (fling a paper cup of piss)? really gets my goat.

Don't take any glass whatsoever. Plastic bottles and cans only.

Be prepared for NO sleep whatsoever and get used to people shouting "Alan" every 8.3 seconds in the middle of the night.

Red camp always seems to be the most raucous. You can't avoid the drugs I'm afraid, they're everywhere!!!!

Don't take any expensive items (camera, smartphones etc) unless you have clothes in which you can keep them constantly (I wear cargo shorts all weekend!)

Also, be prepared for the smell of shit everywhere you go. Last year, people were shitting in and around people's tents, which was classy!
