Woffy Posted June 10, 2014 Report Share Posted June 10, 2014 Ok, so...i hope this doesn't suffer from bottom-of-page-forgotteness, but: To me, personally, and i couldn't give a flying fuck if anyone from the Weather Thread reads this and mocks because it's my own honest opinion and i mean it...this is the salient difference between the NFR NFC thread and the Weather Thread: People here actually give a fuck about each other...and probably will do even more so after the meet. No personal, emotional, feelings expressed on the Weather Thread...which is totally fine...it's an internet forum thread, that's the point. Impersonal and what you collectively make it, as individuals. But this thread has transcended that. Truly. That's all...apart from my postscript. PS - And there was me earlier whining about having a cold and - boo fucking hoo - how unfair it is when i'm about to go on holiday. What a selfish prick. All the sad, unfortunate things that have happened today have put that PHENOMENALLY into perspective. And i thank this thread for that. 100% THAT'S the best thing about this thread; It's a non-judgemental, caring, humanist, irreverent, funny, respectful microcosm that reflects our own personal beliefs and is manifested in text / print / type. It's both part of, and separate to (that's important i feel), our everyday lives. But weirdly it's become important to me. And some of you i think.
