Jelly Belly
Only two weeks to go. I missed out on Glastonbury this year for the first time in ages and after watching the coverage last week I am as giddy as a pre-teen at a 1 Direction concert. (I should also add I am 35 and old enough to know better) Fingers crossed this decent weather spell keeps up
Jacko450
Very excited to be honest, was my first KC last year after doing Leeds Fest for 3 years and was completely converted. Jelly Belly
We're in the Emporer's Field this year, grasping middle-age with ease. Going to be top.
ramragon
First festival in the luxury of a caravan for me, cant wait, decent sized fridge for beer and wine and proper seats to sit on as well as a matress at the end of the night
viberunner
Yes. Second (and last) festival of the season. Not a camper van, but we have big chairs, big inflatable mattress with proper pillows and duvet. No fridge, but a kettle and a BBQ. And windbreaks. Also, ssssh, but my Silk Road adventures have paid off. This means I'm going to be flying about a billion times higher than Rockness (I had to make do with crappy legal highs for that one, benzo Blue Furies and the like). blue6field
First Kendal after 19 T in the parks and a couple of Glastonbury'sWork commitments mean I usually manage only one festival a year so the excitements levels are now beginning to build up.Opted for Emperors fields this year and as has already been echo'd on here hope the weather keeps up. ramragon
I remember that feeling well mick. Gonna see how the bairn gets on at kc, ive got a few days hol at end of august so I still might grab some solfest tickets. Thats supposed to have similar outlook to kc and you can camp next to car. The line ups a bit better than last years although I get the feeling the opportunity to see maximo again would make you flip !

Pooly JP
Only ever been to Leeds, V and the like so really starting to look forward to a more chilled out festival experience. Not even that bothered about which bands i end up watching as long as i enjoy myself and the festival virgins we are bringing along will hopefully have a good time as well. Johnny Mac
Looking forward to next weekend, first time to KC. Was at T in the Park this past weekend and despite the terrible line-up it was a glorious weekend in the sun (and I got free tickets for the weekend which made it worthwhile). Oh, and looking forward to the beer festival too! There are 4 of us heading down from Aberdeen via Edinburgh to pick up a few more. Should be great. Jacko450
I am erecting my Gazebo tonight! Was is the official line on these as there were loads last year. Think we will be asked to take it down? Edited July 16, 2013 by Jacko450
andy85
Can I bring a gazebo? Please don't bring a gazebo as you will be taking up space from your fellow festival goers (http://www.kendalcalling.co.uk/faq) Almost as bad as people cordoning off sections with windbreaks! Jacko450
Is it the superstructure you showed us pictures of last year ? The official stance is dont take one but I'm sure there will be loads there. You can take your chances
tunstallhill
Cant stand people who cordon off an area using tape or wind breakers or whatever. w*nkers the lot of them. fancy rocking up at a place where only time restraints restrict you from meeting everyone, and immediatley putting the blockers on it by claiming some of the campsite for your own. pathetic. was at Secret Garden party last year, rocked up with 4 of us ended up in a massive squad with all our neighbours by the end it was just open season, made some great friends. hung out for the whole festival, all because we all introduced ourselves early on. cant wait now like. just on the lookout for a fedora, cant find one outlandish enough though. once i have it, im ready to rock. sloaney007
I took a gazebo last year but didnt block the sides off so everyone could walk through, just something to keep us out of the rain really and to keep the bbq from being rained on, it worked well but was a pain to take down when hungover. The family next to us used it too so didnt stop us from meeting people etc. Edited July 17, 2013 by sloaney007
