When you volunteer at a festival do you have to pay the £200 beforehand and then get it back after? I've seen they do this at some places. I was hoping to volunteer at a couple next year but I wouldn't have the money to do that if I was going to be paying outright for one or two as well. I was hoping to pay for two (eg. Leeds and Glastonbury) and then volunteer at a couple more.

if you can get into a WBC Team/Group under the current rules they don't take deposits although its not easy as its used to be as there is more volunteers than places so Organisers can be selective.

Facilities are better than many other volunteer jobs and shifts are a lot less than they used to be - roughly six hours per day { it used to be eight hours }

volunteers get two meal and two drink vouchers per shift and for the larger events they do run free coaches and you get in a day before ticket holders.

When I first joined I never had any bar experience - all that is required is a person has to be dependable and honest.

I'm still in the undecided camp about a Sunday ticket for the biff :P It's a lot of Money for a band I've already seen loads but I am seeing Franz Ferdinand and Green Day next week and what could be better than a festival on the bank holiday?

Mainly the lineup had a couple of must see's for me, but apart from SOAD nothing that I haven't seen elsewhere really (this year infact!...even down to Green Day a couple of days before :P) and the rest of it was a bit shit.
