Rock Werchter 2014

Hi Phil,

The biggest/best train station near Werchter is Leuven, +/- 10km from RW. Shuttle busses outside the station running all the time from the station to the venue/caming site and back.

There is a very small train station in Haacht (+/- 6km) without shuttle busses.

Ive asked this question before but Im still soooooo puzzled!!!!

Im coming in from amserdam on the saturday, so can i book "ANY" ticket into essen & just get on a train from amserdam to leuven?? It does say the train tickets are full flex, but not sure what this means.

Any advice from people doing the same kind of travel would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Also, do train prices change much from now or just booking a train on the day?

Many many thanks!!!!!!

I'm going on my own. I'm a 34yr old male from UK, if there's anyone else going solo who wants to meet up/camp have a laugh etc then let me know. I'm arriving tomorrow night, and will be at the festival grounds about 8/9(ish) I think.

Only one more day left, can't wait!! Too bad I will miss both the Pixies and the Holland-Costa Rica game, but I'm sure Pearl Jam will be worth it :)

If you happen to pass by our orange gazebo, stop by and join me and my friends for a friendly game of flunkyball :)

Save journey and see you all at Rock Werchter!

In work for 4 hours then home to throw everything together should get to campsite about 19:00.

Beer and smoke then once tent put up. Are the dj's playing in the campsite any use tonight or just playing commercial crap?

Hi guys, first timer here. My girl friend and I will be staying in Brussels center at a friend's house. As far as I can understand, there won't be any train / bus from Leuven to Brussels at midnight (after headliners like Pearl Jam, Arctic Monkeys or Metallica). So, what will be the easiest and/or cheapest way to get back?

If it is taxi, is it hard to find one? Is it hard to find people to share the cab with (the more, the cheaper)?

Or shall we just rent a car? What do you think? Any help would be welcome, thanks in advance.

Few months back myself and few friends went to Brussels to go to a Anderlecht game but it was moved to the Sunday so we went Leuven to watch them play. We got a taxi back to Brussels and bargained your man down to 40 eur. But i think during the festival would be very lucky to get anything cheaper than 60.

First go to Leuven station!

First train to Brussels leaves

on friday: 04u53

on saturday: 05u07

on sunday: 05u07

on monday: 04u53

(festival at least lasts till 02u, then maybe an hour to reach shuttle bus stop and leuven station?)

If that's too late...

taxi's leave at the trainstation... try to share one!?

Somebody wondering how to get from Amsterdam to Leuven.

cheapest tickets will be

-Amsterdam-Essen (€?) (Ask the Amsterdam station info)

-Free festival trainticket Essen-Leuven (You won't be alone!)

You can offcourse buy the regular ticket, but you will pay more obviously.

You're gonna have a hard time finding those. Compared to other countries, Belgian media rarely get interesting deals concerning the broadcasting of performances. Even the online live stream fails to get any of the big bands.
