I can't see it being muse to be fair, foo fighters could be a decent bet for an unexpected act.

I wouldn't be overly happy with either.

Also agree with the theory that if they were to announce Linkin Park why not having announced it yet, there's no reason to not do it, so... it let me to thing that we can take Linkin Park off the table too.

I don't really want to dream that much with Foo Fighters 'cos I don't want to be let down at the end.

Ultimately thinking in Eminem too as a possibility, why not? He has a new album out there, and he's done big festivals headliner such as Reading, T- in the Park, Pukkelpop, etc...

Eminem is no option. Pukkelpop was his first time in Belgium this millenium + very mixed crowd reactions + Werchter has never had a hiphop (sub)headliner, risky at the least.

Aerosmith is no option either. No appeal to the average Werchter crowd, and not even able to sell out a Graspop day. TW Classic, perhaps.

Some people seem to think QOTSA will play PKP so not sure whether they should be considered. Good shout on Snow Patrol, thats if they're releasing anything next year...

I could see The Prodigy play after Pearl Jam and then something big closing down the festival. Somebody mentioned Paul McCartney, why not him and then Muse after? After all it's RW 40th anniversary I can see something big at the end.

I think The Prodigy would be accepted very positive, but they wouldn't manage as a headliner on their own. That's why I was considering bands that are too big for a sub but too small for a well-selling headliner (QOTSA-LP-Snow Patrol) to join them.

And apparently new Snow Patrol album is coming up this Spring, so suprising that we didn't consider them more.

Would Prodigy after Pearl Jam not be massive though? And quite expensive to justify on one day? Would PM really play though? And they could do something big but they could also not. It's still the fact of whos avaliable and wants to do it.

In 2009 Prodigy played after Oasis and they still hand Metallica, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Nine Inch Nails, The Killers, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Placebo, Franz Ferdinand and more playing that year. So no, I don't think Prodigy after PJ is to much.

The 2009 line up was indeed as an anniversary dreamed line up. I'll sign it now with the eyes closed. I think it was the best line up I've seen in a festival in the past 5 years. Just freaking awesome.

I'm seeing the idea of something like QOTSA plus The Prodigy as a possibility for sunday night. It'll be a bit dissapointing after thinking in Foo Fighters, but its plaussable...

This afternoon LIT announce the headliners for Main Square Festival in Arras (little brother of Werchter) so we'll see if there's any name we could expect at Werchter (medium class, the big ones are sorted out...)

As long as Coldplay or Radiohead (experimental electronic rubbish) don't rock up i'm happy. I'd be gobsmacked if Editors turn up after having closed last year. Would take most of the others.

Thats good news as I can't see many of those names taking big slots. Not too sure about Stromar, gesaffelstein and Bakermat as I don't know them so unsure of their popularity
