I was planing to go and vote for the songs I'd like Metallica to play at RW but I can't find where it's done, do you guys know? Have you guys voted for your Metallica songs? If so, what songs did you vote for?

it's a bit strange the way they are announcing this year don't you think? It allways was lists of 20 names more or less every two week but know... why this change?

Out of the ones set to be played right now, I went for Battery, Puppets, Fade to Black, Blackened. Elsewhere, it was stuff like Hero of the Day, Until it Sleeps...basically stuff from Load/Reload era.

Some cool I'd like to see in there, but it just won't happen. I've seen 'em like 6 times already so not majorly bothered with seeing Seek, Nothing Else Matters, Sandman etc again.

And for Whiskey in the Jar, I find it funny loads of the shows are voting for it. Tis a stalwarth at Irish shows, so have heard it too often.

With Metallica by Request I imagine the most requested songs will be pretty similar for every show anyway.

Edit - Just looked at the results for the different show, really not much noticeable difference between the sets I randomly clicked on.

From what I Heard Damon Albarn also plays Blur and Gorillaz songs in his soloset so it might be a nice gig.

Shame with the potential clash with Metallica though.

They usually have brilliant lineups for my tastes, this years is below standard by usual werchter standards.

It's still below the usual werchter standards. With 25/82 names announced I'm still expecting some quality names (Remember Cave and The National announced in March last year- and I'm pretty confident they'll be there. Today was a good start imo after 2 weeks of bad announcements...

Completely agree with this. Think they have some gems lined up but they are taking their time with announcing acts. There are many left to announce so I think they'll spread the bigger bands out accross all announcements.

Hurricane have announced some new acts, think some of those could be in with a shot...

rchp would definitely be a dealbreaker, im not a fan but they do have a few good tunes.

as mentioned previously this year headliners are not really what one would expect of a wercther line up. especially not considering it being their 40th edition.

I would love to see interpol announced. Wishful thinking would be weezer and jack white. Bands that are around that I'd like would be the wombats, the subways, cage the elephant and the kooks. Does anyone know how likely those 4 would be even low down?

I seen RHCP in 2012 when they came here to Sunderland, they didn't go down too well, but we were right down the front and the atmosphere was phenomenal! I would definitely go and see them again, but I'm not getting my hopes up for them at RW. (I can always dream they'll play after KoL)

Looking at those Hurricane announcements, I'd love to see The Kooks somewhere on the line-up

They already sold out two days out of four, and they probably won't have a problem to sell out all the combi too with the line-up they already have and additions of smaller but popular acts (Imagine Dragons for example). If the prices of headliner acts from previous pages are correct, it doesn't seem worthwhile to add another headliner for sunday, even if they dont sell half of the sunday tickets. I hope that I got this all wrong and that we will get Foo Fighters or at least another big act like RHCP...
