Latitude 2014

Glad Goat are playing actually, didn't hear that in the announcement. I'd say that is a solid first announcement with a bit of an underwhelming headliner. Anna Calvi is really the only one i would be excited about but i'm seeing her in February anyway. So i need the other announcements to be solid with some good headliners for me to get a ticket but there is enough on the under card so far if that were the case :)

I reckon they're the main indie headliner to target the teen audience, which is good cos they're a lot better than bastille, bugg, vaccines, friendly fires who all could of taken that spot.

i suppose, they are on the smae level to me...they were ok when i saw them at glasto, so would see them if nothing else about, certainly better than bugg!

Interesting that FR are bumping two door before vaccines... Thought it'd be the other way round tbh...

May have sold better with their O2 gig than the Vaccines did or something.

Solid as an exclusive I think. Not something that would drag me there, but something I wouldn't be opposed to going to see :P.

Haim, Royksopp & Robyn and Goat are all great choices to!!...It's tempted me again but not enough to get a ticket yet.

Bugg wouldn't sub. He's as popular (maybe moreso) than Two Door and has as many albums, and will have by the time Latitude comes around too - as I assume TDCC will just be treating the festival as a trip out of the studio during album recording. I'd definitely put TDCC in the same group as Bugg, Vaccines, Bombay, etc. of Radio 1 indie acts that I'd probably not watch, but I'm surprised Two Door have been given the nod ahead of any of them. Good luck to them anyway.

Why would they do this to us? They're going for the teen audience with this one and the installments, this is not a good prospect, the whole point of Latitude is how varied it is, this announcement is mainly the same, please don't turn it into another run of the mill teeny bopper fest.

Makes sense to announce the teen shit and not the mature stuff now though. Like neil999, it's probably uphill from here.

So the kids can get mummy/daddy to buy them a ticket for Christmas.

Suits me right down to the ground, only I think Weezer have got to be headliners, and having a choice between Black Keys and Haim would mean I'd have to find something else to do. Robyn and Royksopp into Portishead should be pretty smegging special (that's judging by what I know of Robyn, I do not know this Royksopp, It is now my mission to listen!).

Royksopp are phenomenal. Start with Melody AM.
