Frankly Mr Shankly
Jack White would mean me buying a ticket for sure, assuming he was exclusive of course. I'd prefer him to headline Bestival though. Edited January 16, 2014 by Frankly Mr Shankly
music-fan4
next headliner will be revealed on Tuesday Good news. Any mention of other acts being announced as well?
Amy Lawn
Jack White would be ideal. Anybody know what the chances of Blondie are? They are touring aren't they?
neil999
thought jack white would be too big? especially as he plays plenty of white stripes songs in his recent setlists, interesting...
5co77ie
I don't reckon it's Jack White

Nah, perfect size really. Solo, he's just below arena level, which is latitude's size really...

Tuna
Jack White would definitely shift tickets, I don't think it's out of the realms of possibility. Portishead however..
Tobieski
If the other two headliners are Jack White and Portishead I'd be in awe. Fucking pissed too seeing as I'm going to R+L

Tobieski
Well that's foolish. All my friends are going. Although if the other two headliners are Jack White and Portishead I'd be tempted to get a second job or something

Gucci Piggy
Give us a day of Jack White, Neutral Milk Hotel and Julian Casablancas and I'll be there with bells on.
PDAD
Give us a day of Jack White, Neutral Milk Hotel and Julian Casablancas and I'll be there with bells on. As long as they don't clash. That would be fucking awful!
Gucci Piggy
As long as they don't clash. That would be fucking awful! Oh of course, I was thinking for the top three on the main stage.

LondonTom
Interesting choice! I'd imagine his show will be a bit like Jack White's solo tour if his headlining where he does a fair few of his other projects biggest hits to? dentalplan
Interesting choice! I'd imagine his show will be a bit like Jack White's solo tour if his headlining where he does a fair few of his other projects biggest hits to? Probably just the ones he feels comfortable playing. He played Melancholy Hill and To The End last night. Wouldn't expect Parklife or Song 2 or anything like that. I'll wait until I hear the album for further judgement but I'm not really that impressed with this booking. Status over substance and all that; as was mentioned before, Thom Yorke didn't headline when he played. His new song if it's flown under anyone's radar:

neil999
him headlining while tom yorke didnt suggests he will play plenty of blur stuff, otherwise i supect you would get alot of the audience leaving for another stage halfway through! im sure the organisers must have some idea of what to expect from him?? Tuna
Any reason why the announcement came today not tomorrow?
cdm22
Well this is annoying. I was hoping for another band i have no interest in seeing headlining to make it easier not to go! Hurumpf!
