Latitude 2014

Me and my son are concerned we may not fit in so have started growing beards. It may be a problem for him as he hasn't started shaving yet.

As long as your son is called Tarquin you'll fit right in. :P

----------

Regarding the act I'm talking about: there's zero chance of anyone guessing it, unless they've heard details of what was planned.

I 100% guarantee that's the case. So you might as well forget it with the guesses.

wtf! i can see what neil meant now!!

except that's not quite how it started out .... it's lost the biggest name of all that was originally part of it (tho the pop-pickers wouldn't really know him), and I'm still not going to give that away as I suspect that person might be one of the guests.

i reckon i would have guessed it eventually tho...

not a bleedin' chance.

Do you mean David Byrne? Seems strange that they haven't mentioned him by name..

it's a great booking but not a crowd friendly one.

Chasing pop acts have made festivals far less interesting than they used to be. Perhaps this is the start of the reverse of that.

Its certainly intriguing. And you wouldn't have guessed it. Which is to be commended. Its a similiar suprise in booking as that Gene Clark band thingy at End Of The Road. I welcome a distancing from 'traditional' festival acts.

(i realise the irony of typing this with headliners of Two Door Cinema Club & Black Keys at the 'tude....)

I agree it is a great booking. I was just thinking that 2 'headline' slots that are basically side projects was a little odd. Especially at a festival supporting around 35 000 people. Especially if David Byrne doesn't put in a shift.

Anyway i was confused - I thought we were trying to work out the 'Secret' Guest not the Sunday slot - so does my shout of Eno/Hyde still stand - or is it defo Prince ;)

Afternoon all, bit of a random one from a newbie to Latitude.

Me and two other mates going to Latitude for the first time this year. I don't want to piss anyone off by being too loud or anything so which camp would be best for us?

We aren't a foul or disrespectful bunch but we do stay up late and talk around the camp, just don't want to annoy people by pitching in a quiet spot by mistake.

Thanks in advance

This is an excellent booking!

Piccadilly Records went mad for Who Is William Onyeabor? when it was released last year, so I gave it a listen and absolutely loved it. I really thought we'd get something shit, but this is amazing! I guarantee the sun will shiiiiiiiiine.
