Hmm I'm not sure about that! The full version has a certain power alongside the crowd.

I don't know how to put a photo on here but the set ended with: 'Wake Up (Acoustic)'

Interesting to see what it's like. I would be very surprised if they finished with anything but the full version of Wake Up at G. Loving the bit they did on that video of the mexico set (I think it was) where just after 'Adjust' All the band except drums droped out and they let the crowd sing the 'whooooaaaa'. Looked epic.

Edit: My mistake TomViolence already touchen on the wake up thing. I Imagine it will be similar to the version the performed with bowie in 2005 I think it was.

Nah, maybe the encore.

Arcade Fire are great at mixing things up, but also masters of recognising at which shows to do certain things. That Brazil show seems to be one of the smaller ones on their proper tour for example, they know not to end a pyramid headline set with an acoustic number.

I have this horrible thought in my head that Bowie will come out as part of the fake band, and never reveal himself. Tragedy.

I was a little sceptical after watching some of the footage from the US arena gigs that they'd lost their passion a bit - which is understandable - but I'm convinced now having watched highlights of the Mexican festival show they put on that they will nail it. Obviously a surprise Bowie appearance (however unlikely) would top it off, and put it as one of the best of recent times, but even without that I think it will be a great show.

They can play all night as far as i'm concerned.

Reading all this my biggest concern is keep the car running, that would be a huge omission in the setlist for me. Probably in the top 4-5 songs of theirs imo. I can live without other less likely songs that i love (intervention, crown of love etc) but if they don't play that and do play flash bulb eyes i'd be gutted (whilst simultaniously delighted having seen af at glasto obviously)

The live version of a Flashbulb Eyes is immense. I'm actually glad it seems to be a staple.

Yeh we did speak about the possibility of this, not at glasto but somewhere. If there was one that I could get too there would be no second thoughts, I don't want to live my life without hearing in the backseat live

In the Backseat would be something special. I think their current run of tour dates end in Montreal in August so I reckon they'd be more likely to do something there than anywhere else.

Looks like I'm going to have to sell my tickets for the Saturday at Earl's Court due to work commitments - my disappointment is slightly offset by the fact I'll be seeing them a couple of weeks later at Glastonbury of course!

Only looking for face value so I'm not out of pocket. Anyone on here interested?

If I had to choose I'd definitely choose laika but after blackpool my opinion on Haiti changed, it was fucking beautiful
