Beady Eye possibly pulling out

White Lies replaced Beady Eye at Lokerse Feesten last weekend at a moments notice. I would be nice if V replaced Beady Eye for a similar band but they seem to have short arms and deep pockets.

V could realistically gone with a number of bands...if they were available. Looks like they didnt want to pay out more for a new stage headliner because it saves them money, simple. I wish V werent like that but it doesnt bother me at all I still see who I want to

most british beady eye fans I know don't know who white lies are, easier to get decent replacements like that in europe because foreigners seem to have much broader and eclectic music tastes.. a lot of BE fans here are kind of like "Manchester music or gtfo" if you get me?

I get what you mean, I do notice that in some people but I think a lot of the people digging the Manchester vibe would love White Lies. I think White Lies where already touring Germany and that's why they got booked last minute to cover for Beady Eye. So who's touring the UK at the moment who's free next weekend?, thats the question. I would like to see V use the money they intended to pay Beady Eye and bring in a replacement.

Pretty much no one that I could find. I found Bat For Lashes or Bad Religion, I aren't familiar with either of them

v could of easily got the enemy or manic street preachers to replace beady eye but v just pocketed beady eyes fee 2 years in a row with beady eye and nicki minaj pulling out how much have they pocketed robbing bastards

If they're going to be replacing Beady Eye then it will definitely be someone who's already gigging or due to gig in the UK in the coming weeks like Sigur Ros (very unlikely), The View, Manic Street Preachers, The Enemy, The Charlatans, Charlie Simpson etc. If there's no announcement tomorrow then I'm guessing they're not bothering with a replacement.

There could be an announcement any day, but I guess they will have to re-print the programmes and lanyards to take Beady Eye out

When you buy a lanyard is it just the lanyard you get or do you get a bigger programme too

I don't understand what you mean by your last question but yes they'll probably have to reprint everything but that can be done in a week if they're on the ball. I'm just thinking of back in 2009 when oasis dropped out and snow patrol actually learnt oasis songs in a few hours and headlined! anything is possible.

It's a replacement but it's just an awkward replacement. They should of had Steve Angello and DJ Fresh in the arena, OCS and The Courteeners on 4 stage which makes more sense as the Script are with Beyonce. People will appreciate it more this way and it makes more sense to bring another band in with the Beady Eye money and put them on the main stage.
