bella13
So I bought a "bargain" gelert pop up tent but now starting to worry it wont be up to the job if it rains or is windy (looking likely !!). Don't want to splash out again last minute as im probably just being over anxious! But if I do have tent leakage / damage etc is there anywhere onsite that sells camping gear?? kerneys
Hi there. You should be fine even in the heaviest of rain. It might be worth investing in some waterproof tent spray though. This should allow the rain to run off your tent for a while at least and stop it getting saturated. My number 1 festival tip however....keep your clothes and sleeping bag wrapped up in a bin bag when not in use, so even if your tents leaks your clothes and sleeping bag stay dry. Hope you have a fab weekend.

HOLYFIRE
What's the hydrostatic head of your tent? Anything less than 1500mm then it will probably struggle if the rain really does start to come down. Those pop up tent aren't the best performers in wind so if you can just camp behind some bushes or a big tent to break the wind. (depends which direction the wind is blowing obviously) I usually take some duck tape whenever I camp just incase for whatever reason you get a hole in the tent. HOLYFIRE
How well do you think a single skin 1200mm would hold up? reckon it'll do me the weekend? it seemed a good idea at the time for the price but im not so sure now.
