I think I got lucky at NIN and Biffy, I was right on the barrier, on the right, straight bit just before it curves so it was a great spot, and everyone

around me knew all the words to the entire NIN and Biffy sets! They only played half of Q&A at Leeds too, I think it was intentional though?

I honestly the crowds everywhere were brilliant :). Maybe 20 people back on the left for SOAD and Green Day at Reading and I had the time of my life, the crowd density and involvement was perfect. Similarly for Biffy even closer to the front, massive group hug during Machines, singalongs for everything, space to bounce up and down, could go and mosh when I wanted to, great view, wonderful. NIN was very underattended and I did have to move away from some uninterested chatty douches about 3 songs in but after that great, good pits from MotP onwards.

Quality pits across the Rock Stage sets I saw, and Drenge on FR. So good.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the crowds for Chase and Status and Eminem, wasn't around any dickheads at either. Eminem crowd was quite static, but then what do you do to music like that other than that up and down arm thing? :D C&S people where I was were just up for a massive rave, and they got it. So fun.

The sound quality and volume was the best I've heard on main. Makes such a difference.

Everyone I spoke to in the arena was lovely - special shout out to the guy at the Rock Stage pre-Heaven's Basement in front of the sound desk who I spoke to :).

Finally, I was a campsite assistant in Orange 17:00 - 01:00 Wed / Thur, 09:00 - 17:00 Friday and 01:00 - 09:00 Sunday, most people we spoke to were great, impressed by how many people said they were hyped for System. Most people were on about C&S and Eminem though. I'm Stuart if I met you :).

Sorry for the essay there, just I had a great time, best ever, and the crowds were a big part of that so wanted to get it out there :)

Can't talk for Reading but I think the rain had a huge impact on the crowds at Leeds, most of my friends bailed on more or less every band they wanted to see. Eminem had the biggest crowd I've ever seen, even though yeah it did attract a lot of nob's.

The camp next to us when I asked them if they like biffy said "I only know that song from when "HE" won X factor"

... I think that says it all.

I thought the crowd was alright although the people we camped next to where very into their drugs, not even in a subtle way. It was a very we've just got our results and fuck it. The one night they weren't on anything and we chatted they told me they had only seen Wiley, Major Lazer, C&S and Eminem all weekend haha.

Which to be fair all of them where great (well I never watched Wiley...).

What was the issues with the Rock Stage on Friday? I didn't have my glasses and a bit too much to drink but I'm sure Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats got cut short and the Gallows set was shorter than I had imagined and was cut (although still brilliant).
