Out of interest did anyone here actually go and see California X on the FR tent? I was really excited to see them and there was no more than 30-40 people in the tent. They put on a pretty good show but the atmosphere was so so flat.

Overall I thought the crowd was great this year, I think the good weather probably helped (Reading), every single band I saw had a decent atmosphere (bar perhaps SOAD, where we were on the edge of the barriered in area) where I was at least and the crowd always looked mental in the middle too.

C&S/ Eminem deffo the biggest crowds I've seen in ages, whilst NIN's seemed even smaller than when they last played. It filled back up nicely for Biffy but they were definitely had the smallest crowd of the 3 main stage headliners.

On our way in on the Sunday AM, it looked like a fair few folk were leaving, perhaps just to pack up their cars to leave that night but there did seem to be a constant stream heading out as we walked in along the thames.

Haven't been to Reading or Leeds for a few years now - saw a bit of Greenday which looked quite lively in places, but whats happened to the crowd surfers?

I know that last time i went they were trying to discourage it with a three strike and out rule, but when Greenday played at Leeds in 00 or 01 there were hundreds of people coming over the top throughot the set!

What was the crowd size like for White Lies at Reading? I was at the front and thought they fucking killed it! Everyone around me were dancing and singing along! I think someone said the sound was off a bit at Leeds, like too much bass? I didn't get that at Reading at all - they seemed to fit the Main Stage really well, I was impressed! It was my 7th time seeing them and they just seem to always put on an amazing show! The new songs sounding great too! Was looking forward to hearing Getting Even tbh, but I'm sure we'll get that on the Dec tour!

First couple of songs at Leeds all I could hear was bass. Got a bit better after that but not great. Didn't think they were that good to be honest, despite being one of my favourite acts on the bill and being brilliant when I've seen them before. Harry's voice was starting to go, too. He did seem more confident than I've ever seen him before, though.

Maybe its just one of those things that annoys me, but the thing that irritated me about the crowd were how many seemed to be more obsessed with filming the bands on their phone rather than watching them. With so many decent bands on the bill, it seems such a waste to be distracted from the experience purely to get a grainy video with crap sound quality, but hey whatever floats your boat!
