Back to the subject at hand I'd rather hear a two hour set of impeccable tunes from bands with in my opinion stellar back catalogues like RATM, SOAD (2013 they made my blisters on blisters worth it) and Slipknot (yes I know they're not in the R & L demographic anymore) even if it seems nostalgia gone mad than see a bunch of jumped up tweed wearing fashionistas droan on lyrically about the milk of human kindness being sucked out of them whilst they're being paid a shitload of cash to impress the indie and hipster scenes.

Not naming names. (insert NME poster band here). The only exception for me is Royal Blood who say "we don't give a shit if we look like rock and roll cliches cos we've just released a beast of a debut that's riffs and melodies set to orgasmatron". I'd be happy to see them headline after album No 3 in say 2018.

But maybe my diatribe is pointless because to attend R&L again I'd have to be given free gratis to mow down the teenybopper mommy bought me a lamé tent and I can't wait to Youtube my whole experience through shite-o-vision goggles set with a golf buggy and Mr T weaponry.

Another band from this year The Courteeners headlining was a joke. If I want to hear a hooligan choir of Mancs that write songs that suggest the lead singer has just discovered fire, I'd stand outside the Etihad on matchdays.
