Lineup 2015

Recommended Posts

Just back from End of the Road and after what can only be described as a phenomenally excellent weekend, it kind of confirmed to me that I won't be paying the £200 or whatever it's risen to now to go to Reading next year unless they get by a stroke of luck someone ridiculously good to play.

A shame as I do like returning to Reading year on year but end of the road was far far superior to it in terms of atmosphere as well as the amount of acts I actually really wanted to see this year.

I've heard rumors of Guns N Roses and Foos at Download next year, which would be good, only I can't go to Download because of exams - so if I go to a festival it will likely have to be Reading and they won't have the Foos

If you know what units you're doing next year for your subjects (and the exam board you're doing it on) you can check now as 2015 GCE exam timetables are up and to be honest you should be fine. If you're doing AS (which I think you are) they tend to be near the start of the examination period, unless you do an A2 unit like I did. I looked at the edexcel timetable and all the exams after the Download weekend (and the Friday of Download) are A2 exams. Just ask you subject tutors to see what units you're doing and check. :)

Also on that note I can't do Download next year but the rumours are exciting me very much anyway so I may pass and consider a day ticket for if they get Foos or Biffy (not really a rumour though) but I'll also look at BST again (despite the shit organisation of last year)

They still might change though, I'm pretty sure quite a few of my maths ones did last year, they're only provisional dates

And this....you might want to take note of this...

But still I had only one exam after Download and that was an A2 Unit so if he is doing all AS units it is pretty likely he could go

To be honest though Download probably isn't going to sell out so buying a ticket later when you're certain of the dates might be a better idea

I had 2 AS modules, on the 12th and 24th June, although one was part of my A2 Maths, and one was part of Further maths :)

But yeah you can probably leave buying a ticket until they get properly confirmed in like January is it?

scanning the fourms now, has someone said that those three are lined up?

Two. Guns N' Roses is one band. ;)

But yeah it's on the rumour round up thing. Says they are names 'received privately' and they can remain private but if it's somebody they trust enough to receive those names privately and chalk them up there we may have an idea where they came from. :P

I had one on the 23rd that as an A2 but it was apart of my AS Further Maths and one on the 12th too (it was an AS unit though) but if you packed before and set off when you got home it should have been a problem, even if it was a Friday it doesn't really mater as last year I had a GCSE Maths exam and went to Download for the day to see Slipknot and we got in the arena as the first band came off (we could see them playing as we were walking down though).

I think so as I was thinking about going to Download with this girl and her boyfriend (didn't even know him so it would have been a bit awkward at first)

I thought they were on about AC/DC headlining though? Has it changed? (also why is here not in the Download section). I know the Download forums get a lot more traffic than other official forums but are they better (as Reading aren't that good at that sort of thing)

Also I looked at the Reading forums and some of their predictions are more bleak than ours

Go to the page. They even say AC/DC are more likely for Glastonbury. I think Matt started the rumour that, err, there was a rumour of them doing Download. Good point that it's irrelevant to this festival and if it deserves more discussion then we can do it over on the Download 2015 thread.

I think if he's just doing AS It'll be fine, but I wouldn't wanna go to a fest in the middle of A2 exams (obviously)

I went to Werchter with my mate and his girlfriend, they broke up afterwards :ninja:

So.. back to Linkin Park :P

I just did and cheers for that, I was going to read the offical forums but then I realised that I'm procrastinating so I'll do it later :P

Dental's right, no uni will ever take me, I think my brains deteriorated all the time I've been here

Still, Foos after 3 years is better than Blink after 4 (with new albums :ninja:), there always seems to be a constant demand for people to see Foos live, and no doubt the album will be a hell of a lot more popular than Neighborhoods

I don't know. You can look at it different ways. I think last British festival for the last album then first English festival for the next is a bit hasty considering they'll end up touring the record for a few years but some might think that it's beating everyone else to the punch. Depends what else they do really.
