N.W.A. would absolutely destroy Reading and Leeds. The only car crash would be the reactions from the kids in the crowd who think that Jake Bugg and Liam Fray are the greatest social commentators ever. Hell, just looking at Ice Cube's face and that permanent scowl of his would scare them all away to Two Door Cinema Club or whoever's headlining the NME at the time. I can imagine 100 Miles And Runnin' would be intense live and I will die a very sad man if I never get to experience it.

From all reports The Black Keys were good in 2012, if not overshadowed by a monster Foo Fighters set (to be fair, not many bands could upstage that). They are definitely a future headliner, they will only build on the success of El Camino. It'd hardly be an unreasonable booking, though maybe a risk like I say because they don't yet have the pedigree of headlining festivals in the UK and it could be a first for them.

The Stone Roses...well, I don't need to argue why they should headline. One of the most important, seminal British bands ever, and they blew me away at Heaton Park.

Why would they book NWA if they won't sell tickets and nobody in the crowd will know who they are or want to watch them?

As for The Black Keys, a lot of reports say they weren't very good. But yes I agree they were overshadowed by the expectation of Foos and with another album or two with the success of El Camino they'll be knocking on the door.

3. I don't think Melvin would book The Stone Roses and he would say they are not relevant anymore unless they release new album.

2. If the next album is at least as succesful as El Camino then I can see them only headlining, whichever festival they play over here.

3. The Cure, Pulp, Guns N' Roses, Rage Against The Machine and of course Blink 182 are all recent headliners that could be considered no more relevant. Fact is, they'll shift tickets. Festival Republic are a business after all, and that is what really counts to them.

And for the record, an N.W.A. reunion would be absolutely massive news, so the amount of hype surrounding a possible reunion would make more people aware of them if they weren't before.

It really wouldn't, and they wouldn't do shows in the UK either I'm afraid, they'd just do a show or two on their doorstep.

NWA is the abbreviated term for the rap collective Niggas With Attitude, the second greatest rap group of all time. It comprised Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Eazy E, MC Ren and Dj Yella. Their debut 'Straight Outta Compton' is brilliant, please listen to it

I agree that if they were to ever reform and then ever headline Reading and Leeds, they would probably get a Pixies/Smashing Pumpkins/Radiohead/Arcade Fire/The Cure sized crowd, but they could only ever really headline. Their influence, their legacy and the big names that would be involved would ensure this.

I think an N.W.A. reunion would be huge news though, perhaps not to people who are only into Indie/Alternative so only really follow media outlets that cover that type of music, but this is arguably the most influential act in Hip-Hop history.
