Babyquack
Just 'cos they're playing 2.5k capacity venues doesn't mean it'll be like when they used to play 2.5k capacity venues. yeah but it's the setlist they'll play that I'm going for tbh. As I'm sure it'll be heavy on the old seeing as it's two weeks before the Glasgow shows, it'll be brilliant nonetheless

I have no point of reference so to me, it'll be exactly like that because that's what it'll be

dentalplan
That'd be too far. They'd get booed off and their fanbase would be in tatters.
Gucci Piggy
Someone I know wrote a blog entry about Simon shaving his beard off and how it signifies their music becoming more mainstream and bland, and complained about them losing their "prog" roots. This person's never listened to a prog band in their life.
Babyquack
Prepare for soft acoustic ballads and a shirt. Already seen them do an acoustic set and it was mighty awesome. So I'd still take that tbh Someone I know wrote a blog entry about Simon shaving his beard off and how it signifies their music becoming more mainstream and bland, and complained about them losing their "prog" roots. This person's never listened to a prog band in their life. Is that person who I think it is?
TenInchToenaiIs
Saw biffy in a 1500 (I think) capacity last year, exactly the same set as reading basically. But it was magical

dentalplan
They DO like beards at R+L though. Last year had the likes of Biffy, SOAD, Deftones and Frank Turner to appease people (Matt Davies particularly enjoyed beardy Zane announcing SOAD) and the year before had Kasabian, Foos, Shikari and Black Keys. Fast forward to this year the legacy of Reading Festival had been destroyed by all the clean shaven-ness. The place would go fucking mad if Melvin booked ZZ Top. the wonderwhy
I think Nick O'Malley had the beard quota covered this year, looked like he hadn't shaved for months.

FloorFiller
info of the third Foos show coming out at 4pm. probably gonna be another London one but fingers crossed for something up North
Babyquack
Although I really do want to see Foo's in such an intimate space (who doesn't?!), I kinda do wish the next date is up north - I hate it when massive bands come to the UK and neglect huge areas of fans. Sure, they'll be back but it'd be nice to see them spread out the small shows a bit.
