How did people find the coheadline thing this year by the way? What was the crowd like when it was all going on; like did loads of people leave/arrive between and was it obvious that people were just waiting for the later one? Did the diminished set length make it feel like it was less of a headline performance?

It was okay to be fair. It wasnt obvious to me that anyone was just waiting for the later one but Id say theres a faaaair amount of crossover appeal between qotsa and paramore.

The only problem I had was your last point. To me it felt like two long sub slots rather than two short headline slots if that makes sense.

I didn't mind it but of course I would have liked a longer QOTSA set. I was in the front area and there were a lot of deadbeats standing around bitching during Paramore waiting for QOTSA who clearly hated them and wanted everyone to know it. I thought Paramore were very enjoyable anyway. QOTSA however probably had one of the best atmospheres of the weekend - everyone there really loved the band and you could feel it.

Vampire Weekend were better than both of them, though.

I was in the front area for both as me and my mate made an agreement that he stand in the front with me for QOTSA and I stand at the front for him at Paramore and the crowds changed so much. There was a clear out after QOTSA but Paramore played to a similar sized crowd. To put it like this my mate felt and looked out of place before QOTSA came on and I looked and felt out of place before Paramore came on (still really enjoyed it though)

At Reading so many people left the front bit after Paramore, me and my friends just walked in and got pretty central. However where we were the atmosphere was dead after No One Knows and as the set went on it felt like we had more and more space around us, despite them being amazing. Couldn't hear anyone near us when Josh tried to make the crowd sing FGHOTS. Other people I know from school that went either saw Giggs or just went back to campsite.

Had a couple of listens to Weezer's new album already this morning. Overall I think it's a really decent album. Some stand out tracks for me are Da Vinci and The British Are Coming, as well as Foolish Father that we've already had on here. I would love to see them at the festival next year, and, if the album does well (which I hope it does), could they sub?

Really? Save for the fact they're two big rock bands I wouldn't have expected a large crossover. I thought the alternating would have been more of an issue.

Worked well I think... Quite a small crowd for both but no where near being embarrassingly small (in the front part before the second safety barriers was still rammed)

I could think of worse things they could do then implement it again if they get the right bands.

Personally I'd find that a dreadful cop-out and would be a kind of unnecessary barrier in front of something R+L does best; promoting new headliners.

I would also rather they do this but the coheadliner thing would work if they were too scared to let those bands headline. Depends which band it is though I suppose because I never want to see The Vaccines headline but that's just personal preference.
