kemosabe
Could Chase and Status headline? Massive crowd at both festivals last time ( although aided by Eminem im sure) and a festival which not only loves bumping acts up but also has a demographic which seems to enjoy dance music. Asdaprice
In all seriousness though I reckon - Mumford Linkin park Prodigy/Florence/chilis
FloorFiller
if Mumfords and Linking Park are two of the headliners (which i think will be so) then the third would have to be a pretty big / established ticket seller, rather than a step up act like Vaccines / Flo. christ knows who, mind

Bisque
Can't see SlipKnot ever subbing any fest now with their massive stage show. Chase & Status will eventually headline a major music fest but maybe after their next album, if there's one due next year...
tyranicide
I think the headliners will be out of Linkin Park, Mumford & Sons, Prodigy, RHCP, Muse, and The Libertines. I personally can't see Florence, The Vaccines or The Black Keys headlining and I think its too soon for Kasabian

I also had Alt-J subbing and Royal Blood third down, but I forgot about The Vaccines until today.

Dan R
Is there any reason why people seem to be expecting Linkin Park? Why would they headline now, more than a decade since they last headlined and less relevent to the R&L than ever. Surely if they were gonna play anywhere it would be soni? dentalplan
They're in US around Soni and apparently in Europe in August according to a leaked date by a German ticket site. Not the best rumour but we know fairly little at the moment.

Surely if they were gonna play anywhere it would be soni? i used to say the same thing but after Blink being booked this year i don't think relevance has much to do with the headliners being booked anymore - more just who's around / willing to do it. as long as there was another big popular headliner in place (a-la Arctics) i don't think booking a totally out of the blue one would be too bad
kaosmark2
So everyone's predictions are based on "Well if they'd book Blink, who knows what the fuck passes for logic at FR". Figures.

Bisque
If Skrillex played again, where would he be placed? Headlined NME already, pulled off headlining an open Other Stage at Glasto, so natural progression to main stage at R&L?

Headlined NME already, pulled off headlining an open Other Stage at Glasto, so natural progression to main stage at R&L? can't see him playing again due to his setup requirements (he's really a stage headliner or nothing), but if he did, sub main stage

justanothername
It appears that FR are shutting down all there forums, which obviously includes R&L, and they're all being directed here to post about the festival. To any of them reading this...you're gonna love it here!
lightning1000
Festival republic want their punters to be up to date on bands that are never going to play their festival and tent w*nking stories?
Gucci Piggy
Do FR realise that every post here regarding their festival in the last 2 years has been solely negative? "Hey guys, go use the eFest forum where current discussions include "Linkin Park will probably headline because they're w*nk and shite like Blink was booked this year"". somebody actually commented on that haha "Referring to a site that dislikes the festival and a sub-forum that's less busier than this one?" suppose they had to offer them something, and this is the closest thing they'll have to a proper R/L forum until the other one is back up
