FloorFiller
thought the Libs would be more likely for TITP than Reading and Leeds again. i assume they'd be headlining this time around
Matt42
Mumford and sons, the libertines, linkin park then? Maybe?
dentalplan
Maybe. They can do both Floorfiller.
Matt42
If I'm honest, that's not a bad trio. Not for me, but it's not awful
foolee
That would be an awful trio for myself, I can't make it next year anyway so I'd be quite happy if that was the outcome. Not sure how it would sell though, it just looks quite odd.
Yellow_Fellow
M&S and Libs both headliner rumours at the same time? Both bands that would be new to headline Reading? Hmmmmmm... I wonder

Andre91
I hope ??? whip out their greatest hits set. I was hesitant to put them in, but the chance of that greatest hits set swayed me.

Soni: System Of A Down, Black Sabbath, ???. why Metallica for R/Ls? i can't see it, especially if Linking Park are also playing. that already happened in 2003 The Libertines, Linkin Park and Mumfords would be an... interesting set of headliners. not for me, at all, and i'm honestly unsure of how well it'd sell, but there's no denying they're big names. i'm sure a lot of the regular R/Ls punters will go ape for The Libertines (and possibly even Mumfords - may seem weird choice now but as soon as that new single / album is out i'm sure they'll be stupidly big again)

I think they'll do V instead. Edited November 12, 2014 by Andre91

the wonderwhy
I just can't see Libs sticking around long enough to headline festivals next summer, and I certainly can't see promoters being willing to take the risk...
Andre91
I just can't see Libs sticking around long enough to headline festivals next summer, and I certainly can't see promoters being willing to take the risk... I thought about the risk if booking them too. I thought that, say if they were booked, they would be the last to be announced, so that if they do implode again before March (or whenever the big main announcement is) then that would leave time to find a replacement.
