Lineup 2015

Recommended Posts

Maybe a little. I was struggling to think of subs so stuck Pumpkins in there. I think they'll go heavier this year though with (probably) no Soni.

The Cribs say that every year, and they're already playing a gig next year at SXSW. They should have a new album out and I think they're in with a good chance of playing.

I can't see R&L not booking a dance act to headline the NME stage for one day, Knife Party are a pretty strong bet to be booked this year imo.

Are there a lot of big dance acts around next year? No idea but could be a reason why global gathering isn't taking place next year.

Oh fuck queen Mary is one of my first choices

Give me the honest downlow

Mile End itself is aesthetically depressing, and Shoreditch is exactly what you'd expect it to be, but London itself is a great place. Queen Mary itself is a really nice uni, you'll have fun if you go.

It's a tricky one as there seems to be a lack of acts of that size that are around. There's obviously an abundance of smaller dance acts which could never headline the stage, but also there's many acts which are now far too big / headlined NME too recently to headline i.e. Chase & Status, Pendulum, Skrillex, Disclosure.. I'm sure Knife Party will be about next year and Deadmau5 did announce a 2015 tour on his Twitter so that's another possibility I guess.

Thanks for getting back to me!

Course wise and opportunity wise QM looks like one of the absolute best for me!

One thing i've actually struggled a bit with is getting some decent (from the horses mouth) feedback as to what it's really like to go there.

If you've got the time, I wouldn't mind a PM giving honest opinion on Student Union, Living in london, If everyone there is nice or not, How broke you are ( :sarcastic: )

But yeah if you have the time i'd love a lowdown, even if a lot of is negative (or not) it helps!

I think Catfish and the Bottlemen will be higher, sub NME? That's not meant to be a criticism of the prediction by the way. Edited by lemonu54

You might be right actually, they're getting popular really quickly (I'm not a fan but I have noticed).

not many people are until they see them live, really really good live band. Anyone that I've heard talk about them that's seen them has said that. They're from near where I live so I saw them playing pubs and stuff so I am probably a bit biased.

Oh nice, must be good to see a band shortly before they become famous

Catfish & the Bottleman are great live, coming from someone who doesn't know any of their songs! Doesn't neccessarily mean they'll be high up because of this but they are getting lots of attention recently.

the attention was the thing that I was going off for them getting a high slot, just a bonus when they're really good live.

Still no date given for any sort of announcement, all we've had so far is Jon tweeting that it's coming soon.

Usually the twitter hypes up announcements pretty early on, I wonder if the announcement has been pushed back a bit.

Twitter has been responding to people saying that they will reveal the dates as soon as they are confirmed, so ergo the announcement hasn't been scheduled yet.

Me neither. Also if you think that FR and their PR company don't have scheduled date for the announcement then you're a mug.

Why did I know that you'd be the first to comment on anything i'd post.

I'm not saying they don't have a date scheduled, but maybe that it isn't confirmed yet.

I don't remember them hyping up announcements more than a week in advance

I do remember knowing the announcement was coming, before December started.
