Have they gotten bigger though? I personally thought they'd faded into obscurity, but I do understand why they're being considered sub for Leeds considering how poor it's been recently

That's just because they've haven't done anything since August last year. Since the last time they were booked they've played arenas (and released a number one album, although that was literally days after they played)

Personally I think they'll skip subbing in 2015 & come back to headline the following year. Obviously that depends on the new album doing well, although that's probably a given as I imagine it'll get just as much promotion as the previous two, if not more.

I thought they were utter shit after the first album but then got around to listening to the follow up and felt there were some really good tunes on it. Since then they've said they're "not gonna make two chord pop punk anymore" and have released a good EP and their new material seems promising. They got Fridmann in because they say they're taking inspiration from Sleater-Kinney's The Woods so that's another plus.

I dunno. I did think that but I am pretty sure Foals will headline 2016 and I wouldn't expect both to headline considering how weak a lot of people will perceive either of them headlining. Also I don't know what they could do next year that wouldn't hinder them headlining in 2016.
